In which the New Year begins

Jan 17, 2011 02:32

Most people consider it to be a new year when they kiss their significant other right after shouting the countdown into January first, or when they write down the year's date for the first time, or once they start a new journal, or forge into the gym for their resolution.

I, however, am not totally into the swing of things until the Australian Tennis Open has begun. And oh how has it begun, my friends. Starting last night at six thirty, I have had a TV screen that has displayed six different matches at one time.
Oh, how I love tennis.
Oh, how I will not be getting any sleep for the next ten or so days.

I had a dream the other night in which I was playing with my hubby, Rafael Nadal, the day before the Aussie Final. His coach and I were giving him last minute pointers and also just trying to keep him relaxed. It was AWESOME, and I'm going to say a premonition. I'm not going to meet him or anything, but he WILL be in that final. When he wins, he will officially be holding all four titles to all four Grand Slams. Mmmmmm. :)

I love the Aussie Open... and my subconscious.
Happy, BLISSFUL New Year, dear travelers.

Remember to love.
