Today I spent more money (this time at Target). Well, I spent two gift certificates I've been hoarding. I don't know why it is that I can never seem to hold on to money and never seem to get rid of gift cards. They're 'special' to me or something. I feel like I have to spend them on something really good because they were gifts.
I also worked (gasp!) six hours today at the Marietta Greek Festival on the salad line. I know it does not sound like hard work; indeed, it was not. The difficult part was not counting the correct number of olives into each salad, or mixing lettuce and salad dressing in a huge tub. No, the hard part was keeping my sanity. I don't know about the rest of you people, but spending more than one hour with a large number of people from my distant past, and having them all ask the same questions, is a bit trying. The only person I saw all night who was not smiling and too-perky-to-be-honest was the guy/man who was in charge of the salad line when I first got there. This thirty-year-old named Pete Mashtosehtoidshgoshter (don't quote me on that one!) is the head chef in some steak house in Atlanta, and was sarcastic enough to make me scared of him (plus he was pretty cute). Unfortunately, he left after a mere hour of work, and did not return.
I can't believe I have to go back tomorrow; someone shoot me. I'd rather take Organic chemistry (oh wait, I already am).
Why isn't it June 8th?!
