"everyone else is selling their stuff there. what's wrong?"

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I'm the moderator and I say it's not allowed and people do it anyways because they're selfish and don't give a shit about other people or the true intentions of that community. It is expressly for making international penpals who like cute things. Where on the profile do you see "sales posts?" or where on the profile do you NOT see "NO SALES POSTS?"
All you care about is your money, your sales, and most of all yourself. ITS AGAINST THE RULES, IM THE MODERATOR, EVERYONE ELSE INCLUDING YOU IS BREAKING THE RULES -- THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG.
I have reported you twice already to LJ and if I must take action again, they will not hesitate to pull your account and block your IP address from creating ANY NEW ACCOUNTS so step off and piss off. Spam is REALLY frowned upon by programmers and a good chunk of the LJ programmers went ot school with me so yea, I'd know.
So don't hide behind "everyone else is doing it" because only some people are doing it, not everyone. People who speak in hyperboles, again YOU, annoy me.

sorry man i thought people are posting there so it's okay. chill off dude.

seriously you are wasting your energy and breath with such a long post. LOL besides getting emotionally carried away doesn't give you a solution

maybe it's your tone that is putting people off and they don't respect you and take down their posts? maybe. (anyway taking down their posts is much easier than going to each person yelling at them isn't it if you haven't already considered.)

ever considering asking people in a more civilised way? that might be more effective :)

ps your last entry in my LJ was so vague. you didn't even specify which community you were from (which does not help at all seriously! I wouldn't know it's you and I wouldn't have posted it again!)

think twice before you post next time ya? :)

ever thought of anger management class? :)

Of course this is emotionally charged. This community is responsible for connecting hundreds of international penpals. Each person who signed up ended up with between 1-5 penpals.
...Until sales posts. I went through and deleted them as often as I could but there were so many everyday. It really did start with a few people who didn't read the rules. I told members they were allowed to post TRADES ONLY that were totally 100% stationary related (like penpal package swapping type thing.)
But then it led to more people not reading the profile and just spamming. Eventually all the members stopped posting. New members never got a penpal. Then nobody bothered to join anymore.
Yes, I know it's because of the sales posts, people told me. I know it's emotional and it's okay to be emotional because since www.nervousness.org was shut down and then reformatted, a lot of people turned to kawaiicuties to find their penpals instead. For some people, making art and making relationships is much more important then making money.
I've deleted every single one of your posts and reported them, but you kept posting, so the idea of "just delete them" doesn't work... Especially when I have to delete 10 a day! Who has time for that?

well it's already opened.

by the way it's a public community and everyone can post there. of course there are bound to be breaking of rules.

well you started the community isn't it? that's the price you have to pay.

Instead of yelling at people and getting no result from it. perhaps thinking for a solution with a cool head will be a more mature way of dealing with the situation?

that's expected in adults but you know some do not act like one sometimes. amazing isn't it?

What's opened?

"well you started the community isn't it? that's the price you have to pay."
I never deamed that such a pleasant and self-explanatory community would require so much maintenance and defense from disrespectful people.

You act like it's okay to be a jerk because other people are being jerks. Why didn't you just decide to do the right thing?

You'e the only person who responded like this, save one other who I suspect is mentally... stunted.

i never say it's okay to do so isn't it?

but as a mod, you know it's a public community and there are people out there who deliberately/ not deliberately break the rules. if you want the community to survive you just have to exercise you authority in a more convincing away isn't it?

yelling at people not only ruins your image, but it scares away even your readers!

the previous posts were not deliberate but cos I didn't read your rules properly and I have apologized for it already. I did the right thing by promising you not to post the sale posts anymore from now on in your community. and thanks to you for reminding me that otherwise I will be making the same mistake again which might strain your nerve isn't it? why would I want to create trouble?

anyway I have apologized already. anything else you want to say? this is going nowhere and it's quite pointless carrying on with something in the past and settled isn't it?

isn't it part of maturity to let things go past and to be forgiving?
I
