(no subject)
Ok so I'm not babysitting tonight. That's ok because I really didn't want to. Oh and you know what bothers me? A couple of days ago, I was watching this little girl while her father went to go study. No big deal, he was gone for two and a half hours, I figured I was going to get $15. He came home, wrote out a check and said, "is this ok?"
"Oh. Yeah. Yeah, that's fine."
What am I going to say, "$20 for 2.5 hours? Give me more money, you schmuck!" Nope. I dunno, it sounds a little lame, but I don't like being put on the spot. Usually when I get money for babysitting, it's cash and I don't count it in front of them. I just put it right in my pocket. When I get a check, I'll glance at the amount, fold it up and put it in my pocket.
So that means I have to take my $107, minus $43.20, and go shopping. I have to go to Old Navy to exchange my sweater, and buy some pants. Then I need to go to K-Mart to get a couple picture frames. I really want that picture of me and Dave that Molly said was "so cute." I also need a picture of me and Megan. Also, I need some fabric because I got a really good idea since I hate all the pants that they sell in stores.
Oooh, I'm so excited.
I took a 30 minute nap today. Going to bed at 1:30 and waking up at 7:30 wasn't doing me any good so I tried to take a nap. It hardly worked though because the people across the street from me are getting a wider driveway, just like the people next door to them, which, by the way, I think is stupid. The people next door to them have two cars. Two small cars. They have one child who is six. I think I would understand a little bit more if the parents drove giant SUVs and the child was going to be getting his license and a car some time soon.
My hypothesis is that since we all know that the guy is a dick, an ugly one at that, he's got to flash the money he doesn't have around. In the last year, he's resided his house, gotten new shutters, new windows and a new back porch. He also had someone come out and dig up his back yard, dump a pile of dirt down and plant some more grass. It doesn't stop there. He had a giant wall built from what look like round bricks on the side of his driveway, and has just recently widened, and repaved his driveway.
I was talking to my mom about it and she was telling me how he doesn't even have any money, he took out a loan and all this stuff. I thought that was kinda funny. If you're going to flash around money, you should make sure you actually have it.
