Blood Donation
So, this guy from LifeSource came to talk to my anatomy class today.
Ok, what's the deal with gays not being allowed to donate blood? Homosexuals aren't the only ones who could have HIV. Straight people get HIV too. And shit, there's a ton of people out there who are having gay sex who sure as hell aren't telling the truth when they get asked about it. Finally, the numbers are in that the highest rate of HIV infection is among young black women. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A3318-2005Feb6.html) So should the FDA not let black women donate blood because they might have HIV?
