The another me

Feb 05, 2015 13:32

This winter lasts for hundreds of years,
The forest sleeps, the night replaced the day.
Please, don't be shy, come out and play,
My frosen heart is completely yours.

It's made of glass and rusty iron strands.
It will never break, won't ever fall apart,
It never bleeds, it is cold and hard.
Come out and play, this winter never ends.

I start to fear the another me,
The one I've never wanted to be.
He took me over insensibly
And I'm freezing under the snow.
Don't touch the scars, don't catch the eye:
The frost will crawl, the stars will die.
The mouth is shut for a silent cry
And the cold will never let me go.

The spring will come, I hear that voice,
The ice will melt under the sun.
I wrap myself with what i've done,
I had no chance, I've got no choice.

The glass will break, the rust will fail
Your hands are covered with a web of cuts.
I run away before it even starts,
Before your blood burns my armour away.
