Back Once Again
Good Grief! It’s been 40 weeks since I last posted anything here. But wait! Before you beat me, I have a good excuse! My former computer (RIP) had it’s mother board (up until now this past January I never really understood why it was called a “mother board”).
But let me tell you that once a mother board “passes on” it becomes a mutha board since it makes your computer seriously uncommunicative with the real world. Or simply put, it DIES and everything you have on your hard drive is past recall -- unless you do the ‘please back up my hard drive’ plea to the clod college geek who has been telling you for the two weeks you have been hauling your defibulating "lover" to his store that it was 1) a virus, 2) something wrong with the hard drive or 3) he’ll have to wait until the senior tech gets back from his vacation and can get a chance to look at it since Hewlett Packard PCs are such a rare computer. *urge to kill*
Ah well, nine months later my new “HP black beauty” (bigger better) sits next to me after unbelievable suffering on my part. Wonder of wonders, Live Journal hasn’t put up a client for the Windows 7 OS. *sigh*
So let’s see how well typing all this up in Word for Windows works. I so loved underlining and italicizing things and dotting my writing with those funny little emoicons. Darn, this getting back up into my LJ is almost as painful as growing up -- something I am still fighting a rearguard action against doing. :-D
Anyway, I am back again and hopefully my next computer "death" is several years away.
