WTF?
I swear to God that game show contestants (especially on Game Show Network) are just getting retarded. For example:
I am currently watching a show called LINGO which I loved when I was a kid. The basic premise of the show is that the contestants are given the first letter of a five letter word. They then have to guess the word and spell it out. They're told whether the letters that they guessed are correct and in the right place (highlighted in red) or correct but in the wrong place (in yellow) or not in the word at all (in black). The objective is to get closer to the word by narrowing down letters. Well, I was watching this pair of girls (and yes, they were both blondes) do it and they went through their five guesses and every time, they were told that the letter I was not in the middle position but was in the word. So what did they do? They guessed every word imaginable that had an I in the middle letter. And they honestly looked surprised that they got it wrong. I just wanted to scream at them "Do you want to win the damn game or don't you?"
And it's not the first time that I've seen retarded people on game shows... it's almost stupid how little they seem to want to win money.
