(no subject)
Okay, so just briefly, we close on our house on May 7. That's just a couple weeks out. After that, the length of time I've been working for the same company will no longer be important, and I will be seriously reevaluating my employment at Starbucks. It's been really nice to work with my old manager again, and I love my coworkers, but the company itself... ugh...
Also, I've had the hymnals for about two weeks now and have been editing it pretty stringently. In the end, this collection will be a solid resource for any theologically- and/or liturgically-minded guitarist. I only hope that Snowfall press will start doing Wire-O or Coil binding soon. They only offer paperback with Perfect Binding, which won't stay open on a music stand or hold up under the strain of what a guitarist needs.
I've also received some feedback from one of the first editors to look at it saying that it is difficult to put the lyrics to the music, so I think I'm going to be setting up a WordPress site where I can post mp3 demos of all of the hymns for people to listen to. When I do decide to leave Starbucks, it won't be like I can afford to waste all the time I'll be getting back. I'll have plenty of things to do, even after the move is done.
