I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time Chaney has taken over while W. was in surgery of some sort. It does raise the question of what branch of the government he is in while acting as president...

The article did say that Bush had had a colonoscopy in 2002. Presumably, Cheney was given control during that one, too...which means the very soil of this great country has already been polluted by his presidency.

I plan to spend tomorrow hiding under my bed, though, just in case.
