Well, the last day of freedom. boo.
Actually, this week shouldn't be terrible. I teach MWF (at NINE AM BECAUSE THE DIRECTOR OF COMPOSITION HATES ME), have Latin TR, and then a history class on R nights. Oh, and an independent study that needs to be sorted out. Hrm, I should work on a schedule tonight, after I finish up the syllabus. My classes are actually pretty cool and I've made some important changes to my comp class, so I'm excited to see how things go. I'm also excited to be nearly finished. And to make more history friends. (I think I'll just start hanging out up there.) I also have some appointments to plan strategy for applications to history Ph.Ds. SWEET FREEDOM!
A student of mine from last spring quit school for a semester. During that time she got her teacher's license in yoga. Now she's back in KC and will be teaching yoga and returning to school. I have her teaching schedule (if anyone's looking to try a new yoga place, let me know. She's LOVELY and KIND and deserves a clientele); I plan to try a few of her classes. Starting tomorrow.
Operation retrieve my life from grad school.
Other than that, not much is going on. Still waiting for details on J's funeral and what T is going to do. Fortunately she has the support of her friends and immediate family. Another cousin, A, is overdue on her baby...she's quietly going insane of facebook waiting for the little guy to be born. Life with Husband is going well...we spent a nice afternoon at a coffeeshop (he made me study Latin: good man) and then watching movies at home. In related news Paranormal Activity absolutely sucked. Granted, our copy had the closed captioning on, which may have ruined the experience. I mean every time the entity would appear we'd get a caption: [ quiet thumping] [rustling noise on the floor]. So, we pretty much knew when something was about to happen. We also watched The Hangover, which was great fun.
Also, I've noticed that Activia commercials have the world's most obvious pooping visual metaphors. Funny.
