Meat was rationed back at home, so the idea of actually using steak that way seemed a bit odd at first.

I don't know if it actually works but the couple times I've tried it, it's been okay.

So is ice, though. They have these packs at the store, too, that are like gel. You put them in the freezer and they stay cold for hours. You just have to wrap them in something or you'll get frostbite.
