I have a rumor I need to check into. I think there -is- a company whose Employee Manual reads that way. More details when I can get them. :-)

I'm waiting on a call back from my contact now. I hope to know more later today or tonight. :-)

My sister-in-law called back and there is a glimmer of truth to the rumor. The company she works for has a handbook that has more than the one rule in it, because it also includes benefits and so forth. However, their guiding policy is "Use your best judgement." Which is the interpritation of "Do the right thing," IMHO.

She works for Nordstroms.

I noticed that they have IT openings in Washington State, and that's about it.

My brother in law basically got sacked from Nordstrom's; the final straw was refusing to support United Way as he feels as charities goes, it's inefficient and not very honest.

But that was by a store manager.
