1) I keep thinking today is Saturday. Maybe it's because I took a nap in the early afternoon.
2) I had one of the most gothic moments of my life about an hour ago. Five minutes after I started playing a keyboard melody, a wicked thunderstorm started. Lightning zapped several times within a couple of miles. So, I rode the Vincent price vibe of the whole thing ("HAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAH!!!") until I saw a flash of lightning and felt a small crackle in my headphones a second later. Okayyy, I'm done. This melody isn't worth getting my ass fried.
3) Hugh Laurie was awesome tonight on SNL. If you have a chance, watch Season Three of "Black Adder" to see him as an incredibly different character than House. He played a "protest song" much like Bob Dylan's "Times Are A'Changin'". I'm done with the "quotation marks" for now. Each time he got to how to fix the world's problems, he mumbled some random syllables and looked at the ceiling. Angela and I laughed ourselves silly. He's a surprisingly good musician.
4) "The Simpsons Movie" surpassed my expectations. I was afraid it might just be a big, 90-minute version of a Simpsons episode, but it really is worth the price of a ticket.
5) I finished "The Picture of Dorian Gray". A bunch of rich, shallow twits and an amoral pretty boy? Oh, Buddha. I made myself finish it because at some point I have to read SOMETHING longer than four pages or written by Andrew Vachss. Oscar Wilde tried to pass off cute turns of phrase and playing the Devil's advocate as being provocative. Wait, let me use my PR skills: It seems I might not be the *ideal* audience for this particular story....nawww, fuck it that thing was boring as hell.
