4 drabbles written for the
queerditch_pub June 18th session
Disclaimer: none of these characters are mine.
This was the first time I’ve tried writing in that community, it was very exciting with everyone meeting at the same time that way. Just for my own amusement I decided to try to stick with my usual 100 words, I just enjoy that added element of a drabble, even though I had to get these done in a certain time frame. (Thank goodness when I first started drabbling I figured out how to put the Word Count button directly on my toolbar!)

Prompt: Moony/Padfoot -- canine sex
Word Count: 100
“I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life!” Remus shouted.
“Well, you’ve apparently led a very sheltered existence, Moony.” Sirius tossed the leash over the hook on the back of the door and watched Fortis trot into the sitting room and disappear under the sofa. “Mrs. Abernathy will understand. These things happen.”
“You’re not the one who has to live next door to her! You’re not the one she’s going to come after when her purebred Standard poodle has a litter of yellow puppies! I’m getting him neutered on Monday.”
Sirius felt his eye twitch involuntarily. “You’re… serious?”

Prompt: Remus/Sirius -- puppies
Word Count: 100
“Mrs. Abernathy made you take ALL of them?”
“Yes. All nine.”
“Nine! Way to go, Fortis!”
“No, not ‘way to go’! That was very irresponsible of you to let him get off the leash. And now you’re going to help me find good homes for each and every one of his unplanned progeny.”
Remus handed him a pudgy yellow puppy with curly fur on the ends of its ears and tail.
“Well, this one we’re just keeping,” Sirius said firmly.
“Fine. But he stays at your flat, and you agree to find homes for the other eight.”
Sirius grinned. “Deal.”

Prompt: Harry/Ginny -- True love forever and ever
Word count: 100
“Isn’t this going to damage the tree?”
“It’s just a couple of initials in a little heart. Everybody does it. It’s romantic.”
“I’m pretty sure Neville said it hurts the tree….”
“Do you want to go to the 7th year ball with Neville?”
“No.”
“Then go ahead. Carve!”
“But this is a really old tree, Gin. And Parson Pink Pears are pretty rare…”
“Harry, what are you babbling about?”
“I can’t help it …. my dorm mate is an Herbologist. It rubs off on you. Gin? Gin! Come back! Can’t I declare our true love by defacing a building instead?”

Prompt: Trio -- more than just friends
Word count: 100
We are more than friends, something less than lovers. I suppose there will be time enough for that after the world has been saved and we can think about ourselves again.
Now we take comfort when and where we can, hold each other and hold each other together, and if people talk, let them talk. If they figure out what we are to each other then maybe they can send me an owl and let me know, too, because I’m too busy surviving to spend time trying to define what is keeping me alive. They are everything to me. Everything.
