The day before the wedding, Harry received a package from Privet Drive.
He tossed it to the center of the Weasleys’ table. “I can’t deal with any more junk gifts from my aunt and uncle.”
Ginny picked it up and looked in the corner. “It’s just from your aunt. Mind if I look?”
Harry shrugged, returning to his pancakes. Ginny unfolded the paper and opened the box.
“It’s earrings. They have lilies on them. They must’ve belonged to your mother, Harry.”
Stunned, Harry leaned forward to get a closer look. “There’s no note?”
“She was probably too ashamed,” Ginny said.
