I love absolutely every inch of it but the rhythm of those last few words, the snappy and beautiful and loving dialogue was what made this heart-renderingly wonderful. I loved it to bits and pieces and the last little bit is my absolute favourite part!

(I do like to speed-read and when THIS came up, I HAD to read immediately!)

I should get onto my fic so I can post it, but now I feel like I want to just bask in this for a while.

Oh, you're just *killing* me with all of this wonderful fic!! *swoooon* I absolutely love the pattern of this story, how it is divided in two "halves" and they go through the same progression at the Inn of room-bed sharing. Ambrose taking a while to warm up to Cain was perfect and poor Cain being so torn by wanting his friend back while feeling bad for snapping at Ambrose. *wibbles*

You managed to work Glitch-as-card-shark in there, too! :D You know what's funny is at some point (I don't remember when, a few weeks ago probably) I had the random thought that Glitch should catch something like chicken pox because he could have grown up secluded in the Palace, never catching it as a child. Brain-sharing, wheee!

1. *fans you and feeds you tea*
2. ^^ Thank you!
3. We're at it again with the brain waves! Wooo! I absolutely LOVE your idea that he actually grows up in the palace, I don't think I've seen that done, I can just see him all isolated off in the gardens behind a big wall....*wibbles* And you are so great at writing angst, I just know it would be awesome with Cain and/or Raw nursing him back to health. *begs*

*eyes you* As if I haven't already done enough to the poor guy! I'd love to see YOUR take on the idea, though...we'll see what we can come up with between our brains. :)

You did it again! I loved it. I loved idea since way back when, when you first mentioned it and the story turned out wonderful. I love Glitch and Cain gradually coming together, then Ambrose making the same journey with Cain.

"I'll take the flattery."

So Ambrose!
