inspiration has no respect

The wedding, I must say, was a smash hit. My mother and step-dad know some truly amazing people between them, and I had a blast taking photos and listening to speeches and watching everyone dancing to classic pop hits. I hope there is at least one picture of me somewhere that didn’t turn out horribly, because I am the least photogenic person in existence. It’s a shame, because the dress I wore was quite pretty.

But onwards. Today I read Batman comics. Tonight I watched Ghost World for the first time, and it made me want to cry. Like, a lot. Am I the only one who thought Enid was way hotter than Rebecca? I think I just have a serious thing for girls with black bobs.

After the movie, I sat down with Matthew Good and Our Lady Peace and Moist and attempted to draw. For about four hours. Nothing much came of that, but I guess I have one thing that turned out alright.

Leo in punk mode, and Simon, his adoring partner. I am as in love with these two as a pair as they are with each other. I wanted to write about them today, but inspiration is wielding no cattle prods in my direction these days.

Someone should tell me what to draw and/or write, and I will do it. Honestly, I’m taking requests. I can’t promise it won’t suck, but I’ll do it.

wedding, art, life
