My newest idea is to take up the oboe. What's another bachelor's degree in oboe performance?!

So, anyway, I'd perform on oboe and teach flute. And I would never, ever sleep.

Minus the whole part where I'd have to be proficient and audition in and actually like the oboe....I mean, I love the sound and color of an oboe that's played well, but in terms of actually playing it? It gives me a migraine. But it's highly likely that I was playing it wrong.

And mostly, this was in reference to the fact that I can't find oboe players to jam for free on a Wednesday night...because they all have paying gigs. On a Wednesday night. Seriously, their work is never done, and I'm sure it pays well.

Tell me about it... my ex-boyfriend just won a real job, and he's an oboist. It's not fair.
