So, those of you in Dayton I've seen infrequently but relatively regularly for the past few years. Some of the rest of you I've run into at cons here and there. The rest of you...prolly thought I crawled in a hole and died. Close, but no cigar. Lessee, important highlights of the last few years....(I realized when I started typing, that I have really nothing to say, but oh well, you can all read my ramblings anyway. You're used to it if you know me. ^_^)
December of '06 I left the vet clinic I'd been working at for a year and a half, because the boss was an asshat. I've been working for a much nicer vet since the beginning of 2007. Plus, I get practically free vet care for all of my *cough* 4 dogs. All I pay is cost on meds, which is rather awesome. I really do have to get around to posting pics of the boys, so you can all tell me how adorable they are. ^_^
Mom ended up with 2 horses. Started with one last May, then bought another this spring. Which ended up being ok, since she paid $250 for the horse (an unregistered-at-the-time Arabian) and then found out while in the process of registering her that her sire is not who they thought it was but is instead the #1 Arab sire in the country (DNA is a funny thing like that...). Her name is Tara (registered as Astara Afire), and I'm showing her in halter classes for mom, since mom doesn't like showing halter anyway. I got my first horse show ribbons at the beginning of August. The horse show bug bit me a little. ^_~
Jon and I continue to do the long-distance thing, with him in Columbus. BUT, and here is probably the most exciting news in this post, hopefully not for too much longer. We're looking for a house up in Columbus. *falls over* It's very exciting and scary at the same time. But, my babies all have to go with me - that's been my agreement with my mom forever, so... I think it's actually going to happen this year. Wish us happy house hunting. ^_^
