You needn't worry about raising it. Most do quite fine without their parents.

Then they are independent from birth? Are they all like that?

The ones I've seen hatched are.

Intriguing. These creatures are adaptive to the environment, even without their biological parents to teach them.

[Whatever these Pokemon are, they are definitely more intelligent than Ace gave them credit for originally.]

What kinds have you seen born?

Nothing like your Chikorita, although I have seen others of that same type.

Same type? You mean the...grass type, right?

Yes. I keep seeming to find that type coming into my possession.

By choice or by luck?

By luck, although I must admit to having something of a natural affinity for the type.

Natural affinity? You liked gardening or something?

I was a gardener, actually.

Gardener? As a hobby or were you something like a florist?

Reply

usedgrassknot July 27 2011, 20:15:02 UTC
Both, although I imagine most florists would take up the hobby.

Huh. I suppose anyone really can show up in this crazy place.

[This person sounds fairly mundane, from what he's heard at least. Why would someone kidnap a gardener?]

[Why indeed, although there's quite a deal Marluxia simply isn't admitting to.]

So I've begun to notice. But what about you, if I may ask? What were you, before you came here?

Just a pharmacist, working in the United States.

[And in the same token, there is quite a lot Ace is admitting to.]
