going from this:
to this:
in just a few simple steps.
Program: Photoshop CS3
Translatable: No, uses Selective Colouring
Steps: 4
1. Crop your base to 100x100, or for tutorial purposes, just use mine(:
2. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Curves
Make two points on RGB:
1st Point:
I: 71 O:86
2nd Point:
I: 94 O: 119
3. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Gradient Map
Make it a Black to White Gradient. Set this layer to Soft Light at 100%.
Now, we do Selective Coloring. Since different images differ a lot, you might want to fool around with your Reds and Yellows to get it right for your picture. But if you're using my base, or just want to see how it turns out with my coloring, match the following settings.
4. Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Color
Reds: -27, 16, 16, 38
Yellows: -55, -62, -66, 59
Whites: 100, -100, -100, 80
Neutrals: 0, 0, 17, 0
