I love Blue October, so it's cool he's doing this, but it sucks that they won't be coming to Texas ( houston) his home state. I would actually be arsed to go meet Meyer if I could listen to some good music.

me too.

Well I've heard OF Blue October, but I've never heard their music.

Yeah, I know every TwiTuez isn't going to be overly wonderful, which is good, I don't want them all to be like "A Clip a Week". But this defo is going in the catagory if "well, coulda been better".

So underwhelmed it hurts!

I have a strong dislike for the Blue October songs that I've heard...I really hope they aren't going to be all over the soundtrack. Ugh...

Comparing her to Stephen King? Um......SORRY BUT NO. Just no.

And wtf is wrong with MTV wanting to take over everything. I too wish we could get back to the books and forget some movie hype but come on now, it's a MOVIES BLOG, wtf are you announcing book/music tours on there for?

S.Meyer is their golden cow, OMG SHE"S GONNA MAKE EM COOL AGAIN!

-_-

I'll go take some midol now.

Actually, I think that's a pretty good comparison. They both write in the similar sci-fi/fantasy genre, though King's novels are a bit more horror than Meyer's. They're both into big epic storylines and, most of all, their plots overshadow their actual writing talent. (This is not meant to cause any sort of debate, it's my opinion and my opinion happens to be shared by a lot of people, but I'd rather not get into a wankfest about it right now).

I haven't read a whole lot of Stephen King, but from what I've read, calling Meyer the Stephen King of this generation isn't completely out of left field. Even as far as the cult following that both authors get. They're aiming at different audiences (King is perhaps more adults whereas Meyer is more female adolescents), that's about it.
