Nothings as it seems
My night went a lot differently that expected. My plans were as follows:
Meet up with Bagel and Julian and go to the anime club meeting
Go over to AJ's house and do some 8 dude Halo-ing. Gamestop vs. everyone else
Those were my plans, nothin major, just what I was gonna do tonight. Well things went wayward from the start. We were supposed to meet up at U of M around 5:30. I arrived at 5:32 with no Bagel or Julian in sight. So I waited around, walked the campus a bit, then just sat in front of the UC and waited. Finally around 6:10 or so I get a call from Julian saying that they' had finally made it. We went up to the meeting room to discover about 5 or 6 guys just kinda sitting around talking with Princess Mononoke playing in the background. After about 10 min Bagel and Julian were ready to head out. Bagel and I walked out but Julian stayed behind, then a few min later came out laughing. He told us that he had pretend that he had gotten a call on his cell and started talkin about how Kennedy and Bagel had dragged him of to the U of M to watch Chinese cartoons. We deiced the night would be better spend gaming a Bagels. On the way to the car I think I saw someone I know. Didn't realize it till later though. I'll have to ask her.
So on the way to Bagels house his car stopped while at a stop light. He got it started back up and drove to a gas station. Apparently he had run out of gas. Would have sucked if it hadn't started back up. When we got to Bagel hose we played some fighting games since Bagel had gotten the PS2 Street Fighter controllers. The breakdown goes something like this:
Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
I kicked ass and took names playing as Ken. I was some kinda of mad crazy unstoppable force akin to an volcano.
Guilty Gear:Iskua
The playin in that was more so testing it out that actual playing. There was a lot things that we had to figure out and since it was just a beta there was no manual or anything like that.
King of Fighters 2000
KICKED ASS AND TOOK NAMES, TWICE. It's in caps due to the fact that I never lost once. I play with Terry, Shingo, Iory, and the lovely Blue Mary aka Alpha team. I just killed at that game and took up the title of unstoppable force.
and that brings me too...
Capcom vs SNK 2
I think I managed to squeeze out 1 win in that game. Bagel rules this game with an Iron fist dipped in adamantium for good measure.
After all that we spent the rest of the night explaining to Nick the in's and out's of FFXI. We ended the night early since we've all gotta work in the morning and on that note i'm out.
Tonights highpoints
-Bagel chasing a squirrel around the U of M campus. And he didn't half ass it either. He only gave up after the squirrel hoped in a tree
-Bagel and Julian answering my cell and pretended to be me
Julian: I am to Kennedy, I'll describe myself. I'm black and I like anime. And video games. And i'm really good at street fighter.
-Julian asking Bagel what language Princess Mononoke was in, and Bagel telling him it was Korean, then turning to me with the biggest grin ever on his face.
