Kiwi Muesli

Jun 08, 2006 10:02

I found a foodie magazine last month that had a special on Kiwi cuisine. Words can't describe how excited I was! I've made the muesli three times now, and will probably continue to do so regluarly... it makes american bulk granola taste like sugary crap. For some reason Americans think that sugar is a good source of energy. Give me nuts any day!

I really miss the food I ate in NZ. Sausage rolls won't go over well in this house, and neither would the sunday roast... but there were plenty of other extremely yummy things I ate there that I wish I even remembered what they were... all I knew is that it was fresh and tasty and I loved the odd combinations.

So, all you Kiwis... help me remember classic Kiwi cuisine. Please share some recipes! (Preferably vegetarian, although if anyone has a recipe for sausage rolls I'd love to hear it...) Just no irn-bru muffins, please.
