Wow...
The past couple of days have been a rollercoaster. Between meeting celebrities, voting to choose our nation's president, and then watching him lose when I really wasn't expecting it, I am so confused right with what to think right now. One thing I do know is that I wouldn't take any of it back regardless. Seeing people who I have gone to high school or college with get so passionate about the presidential candidates and finally exercising a right that makes our opinion count just as much as any adult in this country makes me feel so proud.
Although I am extremely dissappointed by the outcome of the race and I still do not see why the country voted the way it did, I am going to try and remain positive and continue the trend of keeping myself updated on everything that is going on with our country and in the world. That is all any of us can do. I am so inspired by what I have seen lately and I can't imagine not being a part of it. Ignoring politics is simply rejecting a right that has been given to you. I think we should all just make sure that we are informed and continue to stay involved, even if the next election seems so far away. I feel as sad/mad about this as anyone else, I just want to try and keep my head up or I'll go crazy over the next four years.
