Okay so now I have to talk about Star Wars

For some reason that completely escapes me I feel strongly enough about this thought that I have to sit here and type about it.

If you haven't seen the original Star Wars trilogy within at least the past 2 years, I seriously recommend you go rent it, sit down, and watch it. And I don't mean have it on in the room while you're doing your homework or cleaning the house, I mean engross yourself in it to the point that when Vader says "I'm your father" you're actually surprised. It can be done!

When I was a little kid I had a crush on Luke Skywalker (for those Star Wars impaired, he's the blondie on the left) and my mom made fun of me because she insisted the 'real man' in Star Wars was Han Salo (Harrison Ford on right). I remember making a list of my celebrity crushes as a youngster and Mark Hamill was way up there on the list (along with Jean Claude Van Damme, Ray Liotta and Jonathan Taylor Thomas -- I was an odd child). As I got older I thought this was quite funny and grew into my mom's opinions toward Han Solo. The past few years, as a matter of fact, just about all my boys of choice, real and imaginary, have held many Han Solo qualities. Sarcastic, heroic, overly confident, etc. Sean Biggerstaff (my love) has the Han Solo personality type. My male love-interest story characters are always of the Han Solo kind. Even Benny was somewhat of a Han Solo type. (Just about all men can be divided into their rightful Han Solo or Luke Skywalker categories.)

Okay, so I'm watching the trilogy again and actually focusing on it (and their really fun movies if u give them a fair shot) and despite the fact that Han Solo is a f***ing CARTOON of everything I'm attracted to personality-wise in the opposite sex, I'm more attracted to Luke! It's like I'm 8 years old again. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's just so damn innocent and pure. (For example, think of the part in A New Hope when he rips off the mask and says "I'm Luke Skywalker, I'm here to rescue you.") Like he needs to be corrupted. LoL -- *roots for Vader -- "come to the dark side, Luke!"* I mean, he was way cuter in the first one before his face got all messed up in Empire... *shrugs* I don't know! Maybe I need to stop pursuing Han Solos -- their all trouble. Or maybe I'm just craving someone sweet and innocent, but at the same time still strong and heroic.

So in short, Luke Skywalker is totally adorable and whenever I think about him I smile.

I'm DONE!
