WE HAVE A CHRISTMAS TREE
And NO, it is not a fake plastic one that my mom, your mom, and your granny has; it's a real ole fashioned, pine smelling, straight from the backyard Tree Farm of our own Cola Renee.
I know what you are all thinking, and so says your face.
So while most will be wallowing in an empty living space full of nothing but hooks and some wire, us 4 here in B12 will have the most beautiful Christmas decorations since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny f-ing Kaye.
Which is why Al and I will be trekking over the river (and through the woods) to our own houses (we'll go) tomorrow. What's on our "to get list" thus far?:
- Lights
- Ornaments
- umm pie
- a fat kid
- scratch the last one
- decor
- grrrrumble caaakes
What will we be listening to?
- Sinatra's Christmas Classics
- Various music for the season
- more Sinatra
- OOOOOOOOOOH Frankie
And as the month of December continues to go on, my heart will also grow 3 sizes (while my wallet happens to shrink at the exact same time).
Don't worry though,
You're invited to drink the eggnog (by this I mean good beer)
and eat the pumpkin pie ( whine.... and more beer)
and yes, the Christmas cookies will be flowing a plenty ( I cannot tell a lie)
so a Ho Ho Ho.... and a bottle of Rum, just what Santa really wants every year.
Ps. You are allowed to make popcorn strings, and paper chains with us as well... tis' the season
