god i hate michael moore... not because i'm a hardcore republican and he's... well... crazy.

but i do admit... i don't know why some measures haven't been taken... this is new orleans for godsake... if nothing else most of our oil/oil refineries/pipelines run around that area and have been wiped out. One would think that if nothing else, the gas scare would get the government moving... but no... of course not...

on the contrary, the gas scare seems to be the only thing our dear president feels like addressing in this whole crisis. I really wish the rich white girls on this campus would stop bitching about having to pay a few extra bucks to fill up their precious SUV's so they can continue their stressful lives of partying and tailgating. People are dying. I'm sure there are millions without food and water who are watching their neighbor's corpses float by who would be HAPPY to trade places with us and our little gas scare. Did you see the Red and Black yesterday? the ENTIRE front page was devoted to 3 different articles about gas.. with one tiny one about Katrina Relief efforts. That's ridiculous.

I'm not saying that all you care about is the gas, CWebb, so don't think I'm lashing out at you. Just... venting in general. :)
