I’ve been nominated to attend a course on copywriting. Should I get excited now? I don’t know… it’s pretty hard to get excited about going for a writing course. Especially since the course will be held over two weekends. That’s right people… I have to come back to work on two Saturdays AND Sundays! It’s so unfair. Other people get to go for 3-day (weekday) events management courses held at swanky hotels in the city, meaning they get a free pass to not be in the office while I’m stuck here not doing anything (except complain in my blog about how boring my job is) 7 days a week!
I’m seriously considering taking up a second degree in something easy like E&E engineering or dentistry or something! Although getting a degree in Mass Media was a breeze (a bit too breezy for someone who lacks discipline like me who ended up goofing around when I should have been studying…) the afterlife can get very dull very fast. After all, all you’re really doing is writing press release after press release, boring business articles, or planning and executing event after event, traveling all over the place until you don’t know what day it is or even which country you’re in. Whereas if you’re a Petronas engineer you get to wear fancy suits to work and adopt a hoity-toity attitude because you are under the impression your exorbitantly high salary is really what you’re worth.
I’m so sick of all this. Maybe Pink Plumeria really should start looking into starting up an Internet business. You see so many of these blogs where people are selling clothes or cupcakes or whatever. I only wonder just how profitable they actually are. I actually wish I could have some free time to create these beauties…
