Days of no school sure is relaxing....but I need sleep. Seriously.
I don't know why sleep and I have a love/hate relationship; it makes no sense now that there's no work, but I can't resist staying up late while having to wake up earlier than I wish to going shopping and such...
But yesterday was amazing because we finally made Maya Emberlynn Bear after much rescheduling. Unfortunately I was unlucky at the draw (much to the delight of Nikki) and am last in getting to take her home with me. No worry, the day will come eventually. She is so beautiful it makes me smile just thinking about her. I am so excited about this summer, which BEGINS IN 3 DAYS. I still have a hard time believing that we're graduating. It's just been kind of at the back of my mind and I've never taken the time to think about it. I think it'll hit me as I'm walking across the stage.
I have also been practicing piano like mad since Thursday and after 4 days I am now able to play (although not without fault) Chopin's Nocturne in C-Sharp Minor. If you have not heard this song, you have been deprived too long. I am completely in love with the song. It's just a bit tricky so I've been kind of frustrated for a while, but now that I can play the whole piece I feel like I can finally take a breather...
...So after days of nagging from Aileen and Nikki (and stalling by writing this long-winded entry) I have finally caved in to peer pressure....so here they are:
