So what's been happening lately... well, I finished summer quarter; I had writing intensive classes, and I hate classes you have to write two seven-page papers for w/o getting credit for the class being writing intensive, especially when that class only lasts five weeks. Well, at least I'm another quarter closer to finished. I wish... I don't know what I wish any more; it's that pathetic.
Anyone that might be reading this has probably heard about Lori being in the hospital. That was a major shocker, and I felt really terrible and frustrated that I didn't find out she was there until a week after she arrived. Well, she's w/ her folks in Mansfield now, and I need to call to see how she's doing. Sometimes I worry about how I don't have much to say when I'm on the phone w/ people, but I guess it's good to let her know I'm thinking of her.
I went to Boston last week to see Nathan. I had a really good time and felt that I could act my natural self around him, which doesn't happen w/ too many people. We went to Chinatown, South Boston, MIT and Harvard, the North End, and other neighborhoods I don't remember the names of. We walked several miles each day, which isn't too bad except that I'm not used to it at this point. I think I messed up my right Achilles tendon because it's been majorly hurting for a few days now. I think I'm going to have to go to urgent care or something because just walking around has become painful, as well as sitting afterward because something is tightening up and spasming. Anyways, I digress; we didn't make it to see the Boston Pops, which was somewhat disappointing, but that evening was nice anyways. We walked around the Old Harbor and then watched folks at the dog park at Boston Common. The highlight of the next day was seeing Misalliance, which was a strange little play with mediocre talent. It was cute, though. A lot of time was spent on the T, Boston's subway/train system, and at his place because he let me sleep in every morning. Blargh! Like I said, though, I had a good time while there. I'm hoping he had an alright time at least; I haven't really heard from him since I left Friday night. He told me to call when I landed in C-bus, so I did, but he didn't answer so I left a message. I e-mailed him Sunday to pick up our correspondence, he wrote back on Monday only to say that he'd try to respond in full later. I didn't worry that he didn't call Monday because I think that's when he has his gaming night. He still hadn't written back yesterday, or today. I called last night and left another message because he didn't answer. I'm somewhat worried now, either that something's gone wrong in his life, or that he decided he doesn't like me for some reason. I'd like some closure if it's the latter, or if the former, then I'd like to know so that I can try to do anything I can for him. I suppose he could just be busy, but I worry, you know. I'm going to try to not contact him myself until next week, and if no response after that, I suppose I'll just have to give up. T_T
Poor Miss Typps! I was glad that mom and dad have taking a liking to her, so much that she's living w/ them now, but Mom said that she's mostly been hiding except at night, which I guess isn't too different from what she did when she was still getting to know me, but now she has Shaker and Bela to worry about. Dad's taking her to the vet again today, and I'm afraid they might have to amputate a few more inches of her tail. Oh, poor kitty! She's my little girl! :-) Baby's happy to be an only cat again, but if Miss Typps doesn't adjust after awhile I think I'll take her back; they were starting to get along pretty well, though I noticed some scratch marks on his temples. Those could be from Bela I guess.
I'm leaving for West Virginia w/ the family tomorrow. We're moving Ben back to Columbus at some point, but we'll also be fishing, rafting, and mom and I are going to the spa while Ben and dad golf. I hope I'll be able to have fun.
Work's been pretty boring lately, mostly because I don't have school work to do between calls. Funny, huh?
