study break!
should really be working, but...
-just got back from a very brief outing to pomona. i love that place. have i mentioned that before? ;) i've made a tradition of reading a new book over each finals week, so i had to go pick up this semester's selection. this time around we're trying idoru by william gibson. =)
-linda and i walked past the most incongruous sight i've seen in a while on the way back from pomona. we were in the village walking past the protestant church and there was this buddhist monk, rust colored robes and all, about to step into a huge suv and smoking a cigarette. lol. it was amazing.
-despite the pain and suffering inflicted by finals week and the days that precede it, i've decided that i truly love this time of year. it's wonderful just being given deadlines. i can sleep when i want, i can eat what i want, i can take off a whole day if i feel like it. i pay like hell for it later, but there are no pesky classes or other scheduled commitments to worry about. glorious!
