But at least it's not all just me

Well, I'm feeling a little better about being "so emo." I'm getting quite frustrated with Claremont and specifically with the whole women's college thing. I spent all of high school not dating and I'm pretty sick of it by now. I don't really have time for it, even less so than in high school, in fact, but this is getting ridiculous. At this point I'd be thrilled even to have a guy friend. That's right: one. There's a serious lack of testosterone here. But the good news is that I'm not the only one; my roomie and ex-roomie were agreeing that there's a serious shortage of guys here. Sigh. And I think the worst part is when I give tours and the prospies ask about meeting guys, and my shadows automatically pipe up with "oh, no. it's super easy to meet guys..." Hahahaha. Heh. Pathetic.

Linda's been talking lately about how she has a deep-seated feeling of dread that there's going to be a bad natural disaster here soon, so naturally it's been the topic of some conversations. We've decided that it would be smart for us to head to Target to stock up on some water, canned food, and perhaps a radio in the near future, since the west coast is overdue for a big earthquake. Linda mentions it tonight as Nya's leaving the room after some physics, and Nya gets all excited: "I'm all set. I have a huge case of water. Oh, and a can of beans. Jumbo. And! An extra large can of frosting. Two of them...It'll be a veritable feast!" Ahahahaha. So Lina's room is the zombie shelter (slightly related story involving Shaun of the Dead), and Nya's is the earthquake shelter. I'll be living good. On frosting and beans. Yum.
