I shouldn't be doing this...

...but I felt like updating. So here goes. Things have been super busy since last week. I spent the weekend in Colorado (sorry guys - less than 48 hours!) looking for bridesmaid dresses. We found one that all of us liked; it's red, strapless, floor-length, with some beading on the bodice and a few artful folds of fabric right below. It looks gorgeous! I'd forgotten how much fun it was to go shopping for pretty dresses, and now the dresses even fit! Amazing. I have to pester my sister to send me the pictures and then maybe I'll figure out how to post them. We'll see.
On the way home, United lost my luggage after cancelling my flight and rescheduling me, so I spent a pretty lousy Sunday night camping out in my own room, trying to figure out creative ways of getting by without those few absolute necessities that I took. Luggage came on Monday, though, so now I just need to call the complaint line and bitch them out for taking so long =)
I've been spending entirely too much time on capoeira. Honestly, I can't say no to practice. And it's a bad thing. I won't be getting much sleep this week because of it, and I don't know that my game is even improving that much, but I'm picking up some new moves and I'm getting a lot more comfortable with the basics. Now I just need to be able to string it all together and figure out the strategy. There are certain people that I can play with just fine, and then others get into the roda and I have nothing to say to them; even I get bored with myself in those games. D'oh.
Spring break next week. Right now the plan is to have a ~30 hour party with the capoeira crew starting Friday night. The mestre is out of town and is letting us crash at his place in Santa Monica because there's a performance out there on Saturday; ok by me =) Then on Monday I'll bus it out to Tucson, bum around for a while spending nights with my sister and entertaining myself during the days while she's at school. Back for the following weekend, and I'm pushing hard for some clubbing. Sunday we bake many many loaves of pumpkin bread. And then back to the grind.

spring break, capoeira, wedding, pumpkin bread
