Pirates of the Caribbean: at World's End.If you haven't seen the last PoTC movie, and wish no spoiler, then pass by. If you have, and wish to discuss, make a stop. If you're bored, then by all mean, go see the movie

I actually said "YES" when Will "died". I then got elbowed in the ribs, but I didn't care. I was very happy. Will is boring, idealistic, and annoying. I should have known that they wouldn't have actually killed him off... even if they saved him in a clever way. You're probably the sort to like him, but... oh well. I really, really, really do not like him. :P
I loved the Jack-madness bits. It was so crack, I loved it! And then it kept referring to itself later in the movie with the peanuts and so forth (though bits were overdone - "Nobody move! I dropped me brain.")
I also liked Barbossa a lot. He looked like he was having fun at the end bit - just absolutely nuts on the helm. I couldn't help but just grin at him. :D
I loved Davy Jones-Calypso also. For me, it was the most interesting thing about the movie (and I'm seriously tempted to write something about them. They're more interesting than even the JackElizabeth-that-never-was.) But it wasn't... finished, which bothered me. It wouldn't have been hard to slip in one little scene that even just implies something. Or maybe it's left for a sequel. "Pissed-off Calypso goes to hunt down Jack, looking for the fountain of youth, who then has to decide between immortality and saving a pregnant Elizabeth his child." But I dunno.
It was awesome, though! I ended up seeing it three times. Midnight showing, a morning showing, then an evening showing. (Various friends couldn't go at various times, and I got invited along with each group. Not complaining. :D)
You like angst too much, Alde darling. I know Will actually dying would have made such a sorrowful Elizabeth, but hey, it's Disney. And yeah, I'm a ph4ngirl at heart. :P

Oh, please do. It was such a nice development, and their characters were very promising. I think that if the producers had added to their subplot, though, the overall attention would have been diverted too much from the central plots, and the movie would have been even more confusing.
It's just more interesting than having an uncomplicated true love type crap that you usually see. There's nothing to think about, nothing to explore, with that sort of relationship. It's not that I like angst, it's that I like complex relationships. Which is just correlated with angst.
There's a huge ninja v pirates (and v zombies) thing on the internet, but only the latter two get movies... strange...
That must be because ninja's marketing methods are more 'subtle' ;)
Not true. There's tons of things to explore in any *real* relationship, whether angsty or *apparently* easy-going, only that, in the latter, the issues lack that 'shock value' that makes the other seem tasty because they touch on more mundane and common things, that are not necesarily simple.
But hey, it's your preference and mine, no problem with that. :)
