Last Call
... well in THIS pad, anyway. Almost done moving, but have about 15% of the junk
left to move today, by MYDAMNSELF. I DO- however, want to thank Joe, Alan, Mandy,
Wayne, Jonathan and Shannon for helping Yours Truly out this past Saturday. We
got a lot done, I still have a daunting task ahead and have to get yet another
U-Haul today. I'll get it all done.
MOVING- n.- a bitch ... from this condo in Mt. Lookout rented for the last 22 months,
but the lease is up effective yesterday, and I'm FINALLY moving out to Kinfucky.
Edgewood- da burbs 'o' Cincinnasty. But Hell, it's one step and one state closer
to Atlanta. The landlord is selling this ''condo'' (read: glorified apartment
building) run by none other than the Shady and Shitty Towne (sic) Properties.
What a bunch of fucks those people are. Anyone who's lived in a place managed by
Town Properties knows what a bunch of bullshitters, liars and shysters they are.
A one-bedroom here has a condo fee of $238/mo (!!!). For WHAT? Trash removal?
Water? Pool cleaning once a year? After fighting with them for 4 months to replace
some damn 50 cent light bulbs in the hallway it FINALLY got done- when there was
still one burning on a fixture that has 10 on it. The ''birds'' living in the living
room wall ... well let's just say that problem went away on it's ''own.''
They probably died. They were getting in through the old HVAC unit mounted on the
outside wall. And not able to get out. So sad I couldn't get in there to free them,
the tiny opening on the outside pretty much got whatever was in there trapped, and
DAMN that NOISE all the time.
Rental car, U-Haul, brake job overhaul in the Jetta Schmetta (ack!), and new residence,
unpaid utility bill$ (I'm only paying the mortgage on the house I'm moving into), so
no utilities to pay on ... will save me around $300-400/mo just paying rent and nothing
else. The housemate (the property is owned by the mother of him) is paying the other
stuff. So it better be, according to agreement (HELLO?).

I think that's only *FAIR*, right? Give everyone equal time ...
Then, one of the owners suggested the following:

I suggested that yeah, this would work out, but WHY not have me start
at 11:00 or so instead? I said I'd do it for the same pay, as I like to
get my *TIME* in, time to warm up, get a ''feel'' for the crowd, and the
fact that I've been impressing on a lot of people to show up *EARLY*
and it would be pointless to have me start so late- this after having
worked hard to build up an early crowd.
Yeah, this latter idea will work. Everyone wins and is happy.
