Blow shit up...

b/c thats the only thing out country knows how to do well. Anyway I always feel weird on the 4th but happy too but pissed off for being happy. Its a good excuse for BBQ's and hanging out with friends.

I've been so excited the last week or two. Summer is so fun up here in B'ham even if you have to go to school. A couple of days ago I went bowling with Joey-o, David, Bo, Eric, Derek and a couple other people from racetrack showed up. I think that was the best I bowled except half the people I was bowling agaist were on league bowling teams once. (yeah i got crushed!)

Eric has been working these crazy hours in the morning delivery bread for the sweet, local bread shop. I walked over to his place after school one day and woke him up from sleeping and we decided to go swimming again! Swimming has to be the best exercise in the world... and its FUN!
Later in the week Eric's 'lil sis and their dad came up. Its was really cool to hang out with her and she seemed to like the campus up here (eric showed her around). Later their dad took us out to Anthony's on the Bay and I was so full of delicious salmon and wine. Thats probably the best brain food/drink for you in the world, hands down. While we were at dinner with a few of his collegues we were all talking about our plans for the future (or goals) and its always scary and exciting to me at the same time.

Thursday was Yossarian's last band practice ever! :( It was bittersweet. I'm really going to miss working with those guys. All of them bring their creative exuberence and just made practice really fun. Afterward we bonded at Casa and ate potato burritos... mmmm, mmmm.
Friday was a pretty chilled day. I think I was burnt out from the week so it was really nice to relax at Bay St. Coffee and watch Johanna Kunin and Yr. Heart Breaks play some mellow and enchanting sets. I really like both of them. I really want to go see Blue Scholars at the nightlight, after that, but I was just pooped.

Well, reflecting... last night was Yossarian's last and best show ever. Not only that but people were actually getting into it and all the bands that played were SUPER nice! WE finally got to play the GAF Church also. I was so stoked! I feel like I've grown so much as a musician with this band, doing something that I've always wanted to do, play in a band and actually play shows! I have to say I'm pretty proud of myself for accomplishing that goal and I'm really proud of our band. We are going to start a new project for all those folkd out there who are wondering what is to become of us... but its going to be weird not having eric being the front man, with all the good things he has to say, but I'm sure its going to kick ass anyway.
THanks.
