Greetings from Toronto!
We rolled into the Maple Leaf State yesterday at 11ish, where we were immediately searched and questioned by customs at the border. Fun, fun. Then we lost some money at the casino and went on our way. We got to our hotel long after we expected to, thanks to confusing roads and bad directions. The hotel itself is really nice. Our room, a little cramped. But what do you expect with five people with two not-even-double beds?
We haven't done much except walk and eat, but the food so far has been excellent. We went to a jazz bar last night, and today explored the harbour front. We haven't done much of the touristy stuff, but that's ok. I just enjoy getting away with my favorite people. We're seeing Second City tonight, and heading out tomorrow after squeezing in a couple of the must-do things my Frommer's Guide suggested.
Hopefully, the Americans will be a little more friendly at the border. But I doubt it.
