Janne meets Relin
Been to the American Car Show today. It was in the Helsinki Fair Centre and that's only a 5 min walk away from where I live!!!
So cool, finally something nearby!! :D
Anyway, I had email Eagle Racing before and they told me Janne Ahonen would be there on Friday. So Janne was only 5 min away from where I live :D
Was a bloody 15 euros to get in, but well, I'd probably regret it if I didn't go.
The show was okay. Seen some nice cars, some wicked cars and some cool bikes.
But practically the first thing I saw when I came in was Eagle Racing! *yay* Looked around there for a while and in the meantime some guy started talking and people gathered around the place he was said. You should know that it's still not really going with my knowledge of the Finnish language so I just joined the group of people and figured that sooner or later a few keypeople of Eagle Racing would come out. They did. No clue who they were, but at least there were people. Then Janne's teammate (already forgot his name, Antti something...) came out and last but not least JANNE!
Done a nice interview. Well, I assume it was nice, didn't understanda thing of it and when they were done I got his autograph and the one of his teammate on my Eagle Racing teamphoto thingy... Then got Janne to sign another card. Then had my photo taken with him and then asked him if he'd be in Hiza this year on which he replied that he didn't know it yet. Figured I'd then better stop buggering him ;)
Strangely enough though, Janne isn't THAT popular in racing as he is in ski jumping. But that might also be the fact that more girls like ski jumping than racing. He signed cards and such and from time to time there were a few laying on the table and every now and then someone took a card. Was nice to see he can do at least something without having all these groupies around!
Continued walking around and when I looked outside the window I saw a HUUUUGE queue. I had to wait for like 2 secs at the entrance I went in, but obviously the parking lot entrance was a little bit longer ;)
Ehm...Oh yeah, I even spotted an F1 car. A Jaguar!!!
Sorry, what do you say?
A Jaguar.
Jaguar? Isn't that the team from the ancient history of F1?
*nods* Yes indeed :D
But to tell you the truth, that car was used for the 'GP experience' stuff, where you can drive an F1 car.
Anything else worth mentioning? There were a lot of Finns!!! A very very very lot!! ;)
Oh Right!! I spotted Ralf's new vehicle.
A Fluffy car for Fluffy ;) (For those who don't know. The F1 world uses RSC for Ralf ;))
