Valentine's Wrap-up

Feb 15, 2009 09:40

My Valentine's was not horrible. I don't think I've ever actually been dating anybody on Valentine's day so it wasn't much different (certainly, I could have used at least like so making out and a fumbling attempt to take my bra off but that's just about everyday, now isn't it?)

I've had a terrible cold - maybe the flu? - for the last two weeks. The cold part is better but now I'm battling the leftover sinus infection monster. Thankfully I don't get that too often, so I'm hoping the antibiotics will do their worst and kick the sinus monster in its nads and get this over with.

So, I left the house for the first time in ages. I wandered the video rental place -- yes, we have netflix but we hadn't mailed them back and special holiday. I rented three very romantic movies -- Repo: The Genetic Opera, Seven, and The Silence of the Lambs -- in honor of such a romantic day. Me and the weird guy wandered the "horror" and "drama" sections for awhile.

I did have a little okcupid instant messenger conversation with a guy last night that started off with, "hey gorgeous," which wasn't too terrible a way to start off. I was a little surprised -- we'd had a nice little okcupid i.m. conversation a few weeks back but then nothing... which I took for disinterest and moved on. (In the time since then, I had a guy write me this nice message and then, upon actually reading my profile, he wrote me again to say, "If there's no assurance of sex, I take it all back." Okay, that was honest. I just kept thinking if I was the average sexually active girl, I'd be fairly irritated that he thought I was a sure thing.)

Anyway, we were both sleepy, so it was short, but it was a nice conversation with a male non-relative and what's not to like?

Also, I didn't eat any candy. I don't know how exactly I achieved that but I did. Weird.

okcupid, guy, seven, the silence of the lambs, guys, repo: the genetic opera, romance
