TVD Season 3: Damon's Witty One-liners
This is the feel-good post that I've been working on. It started out as simply Damon quotes in season 3, but due to my inability to control myself when it comes to certain fictional characters, I have regrouped it into 4 posts.
This is the first part.
Season 3: Damon's witty one-liners
"Here doggy, doggy" (3x02 The Hybrid)
I just love how expressive Ian's face is!! Also great was how quickly Damon acted to remove the threat from Elena.
"Oh, I'm shocked! Stefan's not a virgin?" (3x03 The End of the Affair)
The picture doesn't quite capture Damon's expression, but he put just the right amount of emphasis on the "not". I laughed out loud when watching this for the first time.
"Forget Stefan. I'm so much more fun." (3x03 The end of the Affair)
Even in the midst of Klaus potentially killing him, Damon retains his wit.
"She's in denial." (3x04 Disturbing Behavior)
That's very astute of you, Damon. Elena is completely and totally in denial (about more things than Stefan). :P
"Come on, Buffy." (3x06 Smells Like Teen Spirit)
I just had to laugh out loud again to the reference to an earlier ship of mine. I love how self-aware all the characters in this show are and that the writer's aren't afraid to slip in pop culture references here and there.
"What's your plan, oh Warrior Princess?" (3x06 Smells Like Teen Spirit)
And another reference to a show I loved and watched!!!
"Just make sure she doesn't power struggle you into a wheelchair." (3x08 Ordinary People)
I found this line a witty way to get across Damon's constant need to preserve Elena's safety.
"No idea, but I'm pretty sure I'm overdressed." (3x08 Ordinary People)
Tee Hee. Damon's always overdressed in the eyes of thousands of fangirls ;)
"See, I told you I had it." (3x08 Ordinary People)
Another excellent delivery by Ian, and I just adore how expressive his face is. His inflection and tone were just superb.
So, there you have the first part, my friends. I mentioned it to badboy_fangirllast evening during the re-watch, and that gave me the needed push to get started in posting. I hope you enjoy this. I know it's helped my frame of mind to work with all the prettiness, expressiveness, and hotness that is Damon Salvatore (and Ian Somerhalder, of course).
