The Psi:Ko leave the Escalon and return to the City and the Echelons in the Pacific Territories. Lino now has to fill his role as the Emperor with Anis his cousin as the Viceroy.
Gloughster influenced by Riuho gives away a key political tool to the Atlantea Federation and is punished for his crimes having to go through a psi reconditioning at the hands of the Eleni at the SenseNet
Faid returns to his leadership role with the Packrats. The United Municipalities come to the City to strengthen the tie with the Pacific Territories by giving Lino a gift. Lino has to get used to the pomp and circumstance required with being the Emperor. Jannai mating season returns and Faid and Janet are wrapped up in the games that entail with Lino completely out of control due to his Jannai blood now that he has been changed by his time during the Convergence.
The Psi:Ko go up against Eschers, enhanced psychics and Lino is taken away to the kedek mines by the Zone Police after Faid destroys an area in the Shizuoko ghetto. Lino looses control of his power due to the exposure to the kedek energy and must be damped by Blue to stop from going psi crit. Riuho returns and tries to retake control of the Packrats. Faid fights Riuho for control of the Packrats setting him down a path of a drug induced binge of ware and psi inducer drugs that pushes him over the edge.
