So here I am, back at school, and MMMMM, it feels nice. I started all my new classes today. Most are going to be hella fun but there's one I'll undoubtedly be dropping. It's a math class and as much as I'd like to get that credit out of the way, I hear the instructor is the devil straight from the pits of hell. Every past student of his that I've talked to has very urgently told me to drop the class. He's an adjunct who doesn't know math and specialized in chemistry. He doesn't teach, he only assigns and grades, and his tests are apparently impassable. Not my cup of tea.
I'll have to quickly find something else to fill the hole or I'll only be taking "for fun" classes this semester. There's not a lot I can do with 12 creds in philosophy and drama...
And oh boy! I have some exciting news!! My drama teacher has finally given in and will be directing CURIOUS SAVAGE this term! I'm so stoked!! I would give anything to play Fairy May just once more with all the new theater knowledge and experience I've gained over the past five years. Only I overheard him saying he won't be casting anyone as a character they've already played. I made a stink about it. And although he DID say I'd be a perfect Fairy May, he wants me to at least audition for a different character and "stretch my abilities". So I'm thinking maybe Florence... whad'ya think Miranda?
Things have changed around here a bit. We've lost some students and gained a few. Lot's a new boys whom I've yet to meet, but look forward to befriending by the end of the year. 'Bout time we got something new on the menu!
Nuff jibber jabber, how 'bout sum pictures??
So Tom picked me up yesterday to enjoy a last day of break together in P-town. First stop was Stumptown where Billy gave us coffee for FREE. He was pointing out that he had the same camera as me. Get it? Pointing out.... forget it.
It was located in a garage. How trendy!!
We went looking for the Saturday market but for reasons unknown, it wasn't there. So instead, we walked around shooting the shit and admiring our beautiful city.
Paid some respects.
And witnessed the silver statue guy TOTALLY screw up and drop one of his balls. (not captured on film)
We found this neat wall.
Recorded some sweet tunes on Tom's dash/key board.
Went to the Portland nursery.
It was a lot of fun...I swear. My face was really bright and washed out. It was my attempt to fix it that makes me look so....unnatural.
And grabbed a bite at the Oasis Cafe.
I took pictures of our food using th special "cuisine" setting on my camera. Appetizing?
That night when I got home, the first thing I did was run to Kyle's window and played Romeo and Juliet. I had missed that boy way too much. He got really hairy over the break.
And just for the hell of it, I snapped some photos from my Ethics class. This is Haley. She's a total doll.
It's not a big class...
And this is the oh so gorgeous Baker you guys hear me talk so much about. Believe me, this photo does NOT do him justice. *drools anyway*
Kyle in math. :( The one class we've ever had together, and the one class I'll be dropping. Sad... If I were to stay in that class, he would be the only reason.
And finally, who else is totally looking forward to this?
