Like Trying to Find the Horizon

1. I have mastered Hanon Exercise No. 1 (big whoop there, I know) and I’ve moved on to No. 2. I finally have the ascending and descending down but now I have to separate No. 1 and No. 2 in my head because I end up ascending with one exercise and forget and descend with the other. In other words, I need to be planted in front of my piano practicing, practicing, practicing.

2. Does anyone else seriously hate that stupid AT&T commercial with the two guys and the girl at the restaurant and them freaking out over the tarantula on the phone? Stupidest commercial ever. However, I’m still in love with the Traveler’s commercial with the dog. Aww, how sweet. But seriously AT&T, that commercial sucks.

3. I am absolutely horrified by how many calories I’m consuming in a day. I don’t mean in an, OMG, now I’m going to have to starve myself way but wow, who knew that that there was so many calories in something small like a piece of toast or eating a handful of chips or crackers. I think I’m starting to understand the concept of empty calories. Go fruits and vegetables.

4. WTF FFN? What in the world were they thinking when they added that list of ‘Share’ links? Instead of putting it on the top line with the author’s name and the chapter list or at the bottom of the page, they for some godforsaken reason decided to place it in the middle of the g-d story. WTF?!

5. Speaking of a new UI that isn’t popular, I wondered if I was the only person who hated the changes to the Watch Instantly section of Netflix but after reading the comments section on Netflix’s blog, I can see I’m not. Why would anyone think that removing the titles and the ratings would be a good thing? And making someone sit through a slow scroll in order to see a list of movies? Can we say seasickness? Everything is so slow and too large now. I have headaches even going to the page now. Grr. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Sheesh Netflix.

6. That song from Annie, “I Don’t Need Anything But You,” is stuck in my head. I just thought I’d share that. Luckily, I actually adore that song so no biggie.

7. I finally got off my behind and downloaded FF4. I refused to download it until my favorite theme, Noia, was updated for use with 4. Noia’s all cute and customizable now. But I’m missing my little + add tab button on the tab bar. Please put that back Firefox people.

8. I made the mistake of thinking I could finish cutting the hedge bushes today. At noon. Yep, not a smart idea. I am now sprawled out on my bed with the air conditioning going with something cool to drink refusing to move anything more than my eyes and fingers.
