Writer's Block: Venting

May 29, 2009 21:32

A client who has had three months to provide info for a website, but who waited until the last minute then sent me nearly 40 emails over three days, and is now hassling mne because it's not done yet.

I can't understand that behaviour either. Some of our customers know exactly that their task needs many months/even years, but they held back any award of contract till it's nearly impossible to get ready in time...It's weird!

A silly question... Why 'writer's block'?
I've seen it now on several occasions...

In this woman's case, that is the way she works, apparently. Very slapdash and hpahazard. I'm having to question every email because it's all totally random and in no order. She'll send me a photo, but doesn't say what it's of, or what it goes with.

I think it's really thoughtless of anyone who behaves like that - no consideration for the other person at all :(

("Writer's block" is when a writer gets stuck for an idea and can't get on with their story as their imagination just seems to freeze up.)

No... I mean what has writer's block to do with silly clients? :-)

Oops! Sorry!

Today's "Writer's block" question was: What's the most annoying thing that happened to you this week?

Don't you get a daily writer's block question on your LJ Home Page?

That's what all these responses are to. The question has now changed to "How many languages do you speak?"

Oh dear! :-)
Now I know! At my homepage it's called "Frage des Tages", that means 'question of the day'.
But I never really noticed it, probably because we are so used to overview commercials.
Thank you for my enlightenment!!!

But you know - I'm new to LJ... Just 17 months... :-)
