Multifandom Tropefest Letter

Sep 22, 2018 01:07

Edit: This letter is finished now.

Dear Multifandom Tropefest writer,

Thank you for writing for me and having a look at this letter. I have a few general likes and dislikes listed below, followed by a long list of kinks I like, should you be inclined to write some porn for me. The fandom sections have a general note on my ships and then the tropes I've requested - I've added an explanation when I thought I should specify what I had in mind, but some tropes are pretty unambiguous imo. This letter is mostly focused on the tropes I requested, but I've requested all of these fandoms in previous exchanges if you want some more general ideas, too.

The fandoms are listed alphabetically. The length of the fandom-specific sections doesn't indicate an order of preference; I just had more ideas or requested more varied tags for some of them.

I use the same name on AO3 and tumblr as here.

Things I like to read about:
  • first time/getting together: slow burn, pining, UST finally getting resolved, but also antagonistic hate sex or casual hookups that are only later followed by feelings
  • developing relationships: relationship conflicts after the characters got together, trying to figure out how to make things work, some things maybe not working at first, temporary breakups, basically anything that doesn't assume that first time sex -> perfect relationship
  • porn, especially porn with feelings/porn that says something about their relationship (see list below for kinks I like)
  • enemies to lovers, partners to lovers
  • reluctant allies grudgingly starting to like each other
  • non-verbal expressions of affection
  • familiarity, intimacy, characters getting to know each other better (their habits, their hangups etc.)
  • pre-canon/background stories, first meetings/first impressions (especially if we didn't see those in canon)
  • post-canon fic
  • canon divergence
  • casefic
  • moral dilemmas, characters having to question/go against their principles
  • loyalty, devotion, trust, but also trust/commitment issues
  • obsessive, codependent, complicated relationships
  • unhealthy/unusual relationships that should be a trainwreck, but work for the characters involved
  • obsessive/intense family relationships, whether incestuous or not
  • us-against-the-world
  • villains/sociopaths in love, bad guys who would literally burn down the rest of the world for each other
  • jealousy, possessiveness
  • age differences
  • competence, characters being smart and skilled and good at what they do; characters with different skill sets complementing each other
  • hurt/comfort (after injuries/exhaustion, not so much with illness)
  • angst: self-doubts, guilt, shame, internalised homophobia, nightmares, fears, self-destructive tendencies, alcohol abuse ...
  • infidelity (not between my requested ships, but one half of my ship cheating on their previous partner with the other half of my ship)
  • outside POVs, different POVs than in canon (more "usual" POVs are great, too)
  • I like darker elements (violence, murder, noncon/dubcon, manipulation, depression, whatever fits your plot and isn't on my DNW list), but I'd prefer a happy or semi-happy ending. Feel free to make me bawl my eyes out, but please cheer me up again afterwards.

Do Not Wants:
  • character death of characters I like (random side characters or antagonists dying is fine)
  • serious illnesses, permanent injuries (blood and wounds that will heal again are fine)
  • completely tragic/bleak endings
  • animal death/cruelty
  • genderbend of any kind, mpreg, A/B/O, characters being werewolves/vampires/anything than what they are in canon
  • unrequested ships (including canon ships)
  • unrequested crossovers or fusions
  • complete AUs (canon divergence is fine, but please no high school AUs, coffee shop AUs, in space AUs, groundhog day AUs etc.)
  • permanently unrequited love or permanent breakups for my ships
  • unnecessary epithets, please use characters' names/pronouns unless their name isn't known to the POV character
  • 1st and 2nd person fic (unless the canon itself is in 1st person, then it's fine)
  • for porn: detailed kink negotiation, safewords for scenes that don't involve consent play (and even then I'm not really into safewords); scat, watersports, coming in pants, crossdressing, feminisation, body modification, ageplay/infantilisation

Kinks I like to read about:
  • anal, oral, fingering, rimming, intercrural, and frottage are all great
  • biting, bruising, marking, branding
  • asphyxiation/choking/breathplay
  • rough/angry sex, hate sex, fighting/sparring leading to sex
  • dressed sex, dressed/naked, clothes kink (suits, uniforms, gloves, boots etc.), neat characters being dishevelled for once, casual characters cleaning up nicely
  • size kink, strength kink
  • D/s (I prefer casually developing kink rather than minutely negotiated, formalised BDSM; if anything under-negotiated kink is a plus for me)
  • bondage, chains, ropes, collars
  • spanking, flogging, riding crops
  • gun play, knife play, blood play
  • consent play
  • dirty talk (including the humiliating kind), voice/accent kink
  • banter, teasing
  • hand kink; fisting
  • stubble/beard burn
  • messiness (sweat, come play, dishevelled hair/clothes)
  • characters being overwhelmed, begging for more, becoming speechless ...
  • sex on tables, against walls, on the floor, on a chair, in the shower ... (sex in beds is great, too)
  • masturbation/fantasising about the other before getting together
  • competence kink, admiration
  • praise kink
  • scars and their history
  • oral fixation (while smoking, drinking, talking ...)
  • sharing cigarettes, clothes, food ...
  • sleep-related themes: waking each other from nightmares, falling asleep on each other's shoulder etc.

Blitz (2011)
Tom Brant/Porter Nash

I adore the relationship between Nash and Brant, the banter and dickishness, but there's also a lot of respect and trust, and it's there pretty much from the start (I love how Brant just shows up at Nash's door to tell him about all his problems basically a day after they met). I'd love to see anything that explores how their relationship develops further after the movie or something exploring what was going on between them during the movie.

Requested tropes:
  • BDSM (non-verse) - Master/Pet: the humiliating kind, you know, Nash calling Brant a beast who's only good for fucking him hard in bed. idek but I find it super hot.
  • Casual Sex leads to feelings
  • In Denial - Repressed attraction: Brant is probably not very comfortable with being into men, even less men he's working with
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships: what if Nash started dating someone else? Especially if it's after they had a casual fling and Brant never made it clear he wants more than that.
  • Meet the Family: either family, though Nash's family meeting his asshole boyfriend might be double hilarious
  • Outsider POV - Character Has Entirely the Wrong Idea About What They Witness: whether anyone sees them as a couple or just as police partners, they look weird together. You'd think Nash should despise Brant, but he clearly doesn't.
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Service Kink: see the BDSM prompt above - I love Brant fucking Nash while Nash is completely in charge
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot
  • Undercover in a Gay Bar - Played Straight
  • Unhealthy Coping Mechanisms: that's basically the entire movie, right? :D
  • Pre-Canon One Night Stand
  • Infidelity - Cheating to Be Together: Nash has a nice, normal boyfriend ... and he keeps coming back to his human disaster of a partner who's an alcoholic and repressed and a dick and who just gets Nash.

Coldfire Trilogy
Damien Vryce/Gerald Tarrant

I am fascinated by how incredibly intense their relationship becomes in canon: Damien's fascination with Tarrant, with how "seductive" he is, how both their moral compasses get realigned by working with each other, their canonical soulbond, how protective they both become of each other, how much they both compromise their principles for each other. I don't care if the fic is set during the books or after the canon events. I do not like the ending of the trilogy, though, so if you write something set post-canon, I'd prefer an AU in which Tarrant survives as himself (either as a normal, mortal human or as the Hunter, but definitely still with his old looks and name and personality). This fandom offers a great many possibilities for creepy dark magic, so if that is something you enjoy writing, go for it!

Requested tropes:
  • Artifacts - Haunted Artifacts
  • Back-To-Back Badasses
  • Blood Drinking - Turned On By: Tarrant feeding off Damien is already canon and it's canon that he can theoretically feed off just about anything, so ... blood drinking! and Damien loving it
  • Crisis of Faith: already a theme in the books, but I always want more of what it means for a priest to fall in love with someone who's technically the devil of his religion
  • Ghosts - Character Haunts Other Character(s): what if Tarrant did die at the end of the books and came back as a ghost? Would prefer if he was somehow brought back to life eventually, though.
  • Grand Romantic Gesture - Murder of a Third Party as Romantic Gesture
  • In Denial - Forced To Confront Feelings
  • Magic Rituals - Blood Magic Rituals
  • Morality Exporation - Moral Ambiguity: one of my favourite themes of the books, how being together forces them both to reexamine their beliefs and their morality.
  • Resurrection - A Brings B Back From the Dead: another way to handle Tarrant's death/not-death at the end - Damien finds a way to resurrect him
  • Soulbonds
  • Telepathy - Sharing Dreams + Telepathy - Telepathic Sex: they already have a soulbond going, what if it grows stronger and stronger until there's some actual telepathy?

Dragon Age
Cullen Rutherford/Dorian Pavus

My dearest OTP for them both. <3 I love how much of a guilt- and PTSD-ridden mess Cullen is, that mixture of anger and fucked-up-ness on the one side and the sweetness on the other. I love how passionate Dorian is while still so often hiding his feelings behind his wit and some jokes. I love that their respective issues are a great recipe for intimacy issues and misunderstandings. I'm really into the idea of them being friends who stumble into bed together and have mindblowing kinky sex, and then they both catch feelings while both being convinced that the other one couldn't possibly be interested in an actual relationship (Dorian because he thinks he can't have a loving relationship with a man, Cullen because he thinks he's too much of a mess to inflict on anyone). But I'm also interested in different takes on how they might get together - if you'd rather write long pining while they flirt casually but think the other one isn't actually interested, I'd gladly read that, too! I also love post-canon fic for them, especially if it has Cullen coming to Tevinter for Dorian. Culture clash!

Requested tropes:
  • Artifacts - Haunted Artifacts
  • Can't Stop Thinking About It - B Accidentally Sees A Naked: especially if Cullen is the one to see Dorian naked; I think Dorian is a lot better equipped to handling seeing a hot dude he thinks he can't have na
  • Casual Sex leads to feelings
  • Crosscultural Relationship - Different Cultural Attitudes to Sex: Cullen strikes me as a romantic who'd mostly think of sex as something you do with a loved one (and in Ferelden, another man can be your loved one); Dorian is used to sex with men being automatically something shameful and hidden and temporary
  • Drunken Hook Up Leads to Feelings
  • Falling in love through the written word: they didn't get together during Inquisition times (maybe they both wanted to, but were both afraid to make the first step and risk their friendship), but they stay in touch via letters post-Inquisition and fall for each other properly. Would prefer if they were eventually reunited.
  • Fighting Through An Injury
  • First Time - Loss of Virginity: I'm super fond of virgin!Cullen who was too awkward and focused on duty as a teenager to get laid and post-Kinloch Hold too traumatised to go out and get laid. Just please don't write him as naive about sex - he's a Templar, he lived his life in barracks and watching mages, there probably isn't much he hasn't heard or seen and he had a lot of time to fantasise.
  • Hurt/Comfort - Drug Withdrawal
  • Hurt/Comfort - Loneliness: for both of them, but especially for Dorian who's such an outsider in the south
  • In Denial - Repressed attraction: I love Cullen who feels bad for wanting a mage, okay.
  • Kink Exploration: of any kind, but I'm especially here for Templar/mage and master/slave roleplay (with Dorian playing the slave)
  • Long-Distance Relationship - Epistolary: staying in touch post-Inquisition. Would prefer if they were eventually reunited (doesn't have to happen in the fic if you write the whole fic as an epistolary, but I'd like it to be mentioned/implied).
  • Magic Rituals - Blood Magic Rituals + Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: I desperately want a fic in which Dorian saves Cullen's life through blood magic. Maybe the damage of taking lyrium for so long catches up with him and he starts losing his memory and no conventional healing magic can fix that, but blood magic could ... I love people breaking the one rule they swore never to break for a loved one. Especially since Dorian knows Cullen would be furious if he knew.
  • Meet the Family: I have a lot of Feels about Dorian and his father (see my requests for them) and I'd love for Cullen to meet the guy in Tevinter. I don't think it'd go well. ;)
  • Misunderstandings - Kinky Sex Mistaken for Abuse: especially if another mage witnesses their kinky Templar/mage games
  • Outsider POV - Character Has Entirely the Wrong Idea About What They Witness: similar to the prompt right above, although I'd also love an outsider POV about them in Tevinter. Dorian's father, his Lucerni friends, his political enemies ...
  • Pining - not willing to risk the friendship if rejected
  • Pining - While trying to be Friends-with-Benefits
  • Recovery - Addiction
  • Reunions: did I mention that I love Cullen coming to Tevinter? because I do.
  • Secret Revealed - B Accidently Discovers A's Kink: especially if it's a kink they're ashamed of. Personal favourites for me are Dorian's guilty slave kink and Cullen having a thing for consent play and taking what he wants.
  • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot
  • Touch-Starved

Dragon Age
Dorian Pavus & Halward Pavus

I'm a sucker for difficult father-son relationships with lots of complicated, painful feelings. What fascinates me about their relationship is that - despite the absolutely horrifying shit Halward tried to do to Dorian, I'm not trying to downplay that - they still love each other and care about each other. Dorian still calls his father "a good man" and Halward does seem genuinely interested in reconciling, even if he might well still think that he was doing the right thing to "help" Dorian. What makes their relationship so heartbreaking, to me, is precisely the fact that Dorian loved and admired and respected his father, that he got much of his goodness and his sense of morals from his father, and I'd love to see that explored more.

I am not interested in fics that paint Halward as a cardboard villain or insist that Dorian should simply never talk to him again. I don't think their relationship will ever recover entirely from what Halward did, but I am interested in seeing them actually interact and trying to find some common ground again. I also don't want to read a fic that focuses on Halward's death, and I'm very interested in canon divergence fics in which he doesn't die during Trespasser so he and Dorian can actually spend more time around each other.

My OTP for Dorian is Cullen/Dorian and if you wanted to include that in any way, I'd be super happy (seeing Cullen and Halward interact would be interesting; I don't think Cullen would feel particularly forgiving if he ever found out about the blood magic thing). If you don't ship them, that's totally fine, too, but I'd rather not read about Dorian in a relationship with someone else, though I'm fine with mentions of him sleeping around in Tevinter.

Requested tropes:
  • Artifacts - Haunted Artifacts
  • Bonding Over Common Enemy: working together politically and bonding over fighting some magister who embodies everything they think is wrong with Tevinter?
  • Daddy Issues
  • Earn Your Happy Ending
  • Politics - Political Machinations: Dorian and his father are probably on the same page about a lot of things, considering that Dorian clearly has some of his morals from his father, so I'd love them working together scheming around Minrathous post-canon. Especially if their personal relationship is still very tense. (Speaking of politics, though, I should mention that I'm super not into passionately anti-slavery!Dorian. Based on what he says in canon, I can see him having more ambiguous feelings about the matter after his time in the south, but I do not see him getting all passionate about the issue or trying to abolish slavery in Tevinter instead of focusing on other issues he might consider more important.)
  • Protection - Character being protected isn't used to it: I'd love to see Dorian saving Halward from getting assassinated. Maybe he refuses to go south when he realises his father is trying to protect him because shit's about to hit the fan.
  • Reunions: whether you want to expand on their canon reunion or have them meet again post-canon
  • Strong Family Resemblance: canon already mentions how similar they are personality-wise; I'd love to see that expanded on. Both how it helps them understand each other and how it sometimes drives them nuts.
  • Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: it's what Halward did in canon (using blood magic to "help" Dorian despite the fact that he hates blood magic) so you could expand a bit more on that; or some other situation in which either of them breaks their code for the other

Dragon Age
Male Hawke/Fenris

My other Dragon Age OTP. :D I strongly prefer purple mage Hawke, although I'm not really fond of purple Hawke being written as a not very bright loser with foot-in-mouth syndrom; to me he always comes across as a smart guy who's snarky on purpose (as a self-defence mechanism and because it keeps him from yelling at people). And I'm very attached to default Hawke's looks. I also love Anders, so please no Anders bashing (totally cool with mentions of past Hawke/Anders, by the way, even if my endgame ship is Hawke/Fenris).

I love their canon romance, but I'm always interested in different ways they could get together, especially if there is lots of pining, angsting about the other one not really wanting them, worrying about having missed their chance etc. I'd also love anything dealing with Fenris maybe having issues about falling in love with a mage: instinctive distrust at the beginning, worrying that Hawke is really more interested in the exciting lyrium markings than in Fenris as a person, being uncomfortable with Hawke casually casting spells when they're hanging out ... but I also love all the ways in which Hawke isn't anything like the mages Fenris knew in Tevinter.

Requested tropes:
  • Back-To-Back Badasses
  • Can't Stop Thinking About It - B Accidentally Sees A Naked
  • Can't Stop Thinking About It - B Discovers A Has a Huge Cock: Hawke is obviously hung like a horse, right? Though now that I think about it, I also wouldn't say no to Fenris having a surprisingly huge dick.
  • Dimension Travel - Meets Another Version of Self: maybe still-a-slave!Fenris meets free Fenris. Maybe a Hawke who never met Fenris (and maybe fell in love with Anders?) meets this Hawke. And I'm also here for the trope of "characters aren't in a relationship in verse 1 meet characters who are in a relationship in verse 2".
  • Driven to Distraction - B Can't Focus on What A Says Because Their Voice is So Sexy
  • Hurt/Comfort - grudging acceptance of comfort: Fenris seems like the obvious choice, but I also imagine that Hawke is so used to taking care of others that he's bad at being taken care of himself
  • Hurt/Comfort - Loneliness: Hawke loses pretty much everyone in canon, and Fenris never really had anyone to begin with.
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships: especially during the three years they weren't together. I headcanon Hawke as sleeping around a lot during that time because he's lonely and wants some sort of comfort and also sex instead of just pining for Fenris all day.
  • Kink Exploration: Fenris never really had the opportunity to figure out what he likes when he was a slave and I love Hawke helping him with that. Being open-minded and happy to try out anything.
  • Not knowing how to be loved
  • Soulbonds - As A Result Of Magic: I'm the biggest sucker for soulbonds (not soulmates, though! please please no soulmate fic). Would be extra fun if it happens before they get together (again) and suddenly they're stuck having each other in their head, not being able to be too far apart etc. I'd also love Fenris getting mad about it because magic is fucking up his life again.
  • Undercover as Master/Slave: shenanigans in Tevinter and the only way to keep Fenris safe is by pretending he's Hawke's property (and as such untouchable, whereas a free elf is hardly safe). I've written this trope myself, but I'd love to see someone else's take on it. :D

Fallout: New Vegas
Caesar/Arcade, Lucius/Arcade, Vulpes Inculta/Arcade

The big sad angsty noncon requests! These prompts stray much darker than my other fandoms, so don't worry too much about my usual request for happy endings. I'd still rather not read about Arcade's canon death if he's given to Caesar. I'm cool with Caesar dying eventually, though, I'm not too attached to him, but I prefer it being in a verse in which Vulpes got rid of Lanius and Lucius becomes Caesar. I'm not cruel enough to give Arcade to Lanius. ;)

I'm obviously here for sad angsty noncon, but I'm also interested in Legion worldbuilding, in character studies about Arcade, and in confused ambiguous feelings about his situation. Things like occasionally enjoying his discussions with Caesar and hating himself for it. Or maybe he grows somewhat fond of Lucius just because Lucius is a halfway decent person and not a terrifying creep like Vulpes. Maybe he feels guilty about being treated so well compared to other slaves. It's a messed up, horrible situation and I'm certainly not looking for happy fic in which Arcade convinces them all to mend their ways, I just like complicated. :D

To my mind, Arcade/Lucius probably works best if you want to write some accidental feelings developing along with all the hatred and resentment, simply because Lucius is not a fucking monster like the other two; Caesar and Vulpes are great if you want to torture Arcade a bit more. ;)

Requested tropes:
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: all those heated discussions with Caesar. Arcade's one comment about him in canon (about his brilliant mind and charisma and blabla) just makes me want some grudging respect mixed in with all his hatred for the man.
  • Captivity - Enforcer's POV
  • Captivity - One Character Captured
  • Dissimilar Characters Geeking Out Together Over A Surprise Shared Interest: again, I'm really interested in the idea of Arcade occasionally enjoying their discussions because he loves a good argument
  • Enemies Forced to Work Together - Needing Help From A Villain To Defeat Another Villain: Arcade is stuck with the Legion and he tries his best not to help them more than they make him, but what if anyone's around who's even worse?
  • Enemies to Lovers - Forced Sex Leads to Feelings: this (and the Lima Syndrome) below might work really well if you go with Lucius/Arcade and the whole rape-by-proxy thing
  • Lima Syndrome
  • Morality Exploration - Trying To Be A Good Man: I am so here for what goes on in Arcade's head during his captivity. He risked his life every day travelling with the Courier, and yet when he has a chance to kill Caesar instead of saving his life, he doesn't. Until his eventual canon suicide, he clearly decided to survive, even at the cost of helping people he despises. I'd love to see that explored.
  • Rape By Proxy: Caesar ordering Lucius or Vulpes to rape Arcade, either as punishment if he misbehaves or as "reward" because he was good.
  • sanity slippage: Arcade slowly losing it
  • Slavery - fond owner: sometimes the fact that Caesar genuinely likes him makes it worse
  • Slavery - slave forced to enjoy aspects of their fate: mostly related to the "reward" take on rape by proxy
  • Touch-Starved: Arcade being so lonely and touch-starved that being raped almost feels good at times, simply because someone is touching him
  • Villain Wins - Working for/with Villain

Fallout: New Vegas
Caesar/Lucius, Caesar/Vulpes Inculta

The evil loyalty kink requests! I'd love to see Caesar through the eyes of two men who pretty much worship him, precisely because in canon ... Caesar isn't all that. Both Vulpes and Lucius are presented as fairly intelligent people, in their own ways, Lucius isn't even particularly dogmatic for Legion, and yet they're both so devoted to this tantrum-throwing, often irrational guy. It's fascinating. And in Vulpes's case, I find it fascinating to see someone so ruthless and evil so utterly devoted to another person.

Requested tropes:
  • Building a world (terraforming/infrastructure/urbanplanning/etc. through magic or tech): I really love Legion worldbuilding, both about the territories in the East, but also about what happens in canon if the Legion wins. Caesar talks a big game about "finally having his Rome", so ... how does that go?
  • Hero Worship
  • Loyalty - dubious consent because loyal A will do anything B wants of them: Caesar demanding sex of either of them. I love the messy consent situation where they might not really want it, but it would never even occur to him to say no because as far as they're concerned, they belong to him.
  • Loyalty - Kneeling
  • Mentor in Villainy
  • Unequal relationships
  • Villain Wins

Fast and the Furious series
Deckard Shaw/Owen Shaw

I have so much love for these obsessive, evil, ruthless bastards who don't give a damn about anyone except each other and who'd burn down the whole world for each other. This ship is just made for loyalty kink, codependency, aggressive possessiveness and protectiveness, vengeful fury, and us-against-the-world. I'm cool with many different interpretations of their relationship, just as long as they do both love each other: complete obsessive incestuousness since they were teenagers (I'm perfectly fine with underage), some kind of estrangement somewhere along the way and then a later reconciliation, years of obsessing over each other before they finally man up and fuck … Pre-canon and post-canon are both great. I also love Owen being a manipulative shit and Deckard knowing it, but not really minding at all.

I'm not here for the latest movie's weird retcon of "oh, the Shaws aren't really all that bad". I like that they're evil bastards and I'm not interested in any redemption stories.

Requested tropes:
  • Codependency
  • Family Feels - Us Against The World
  • Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships: they both hate it when the other one fucks around and get kind of obsessively, violently jealous. Bonus if one of them fucks around precisely because he knows it'll make the other one furious and possessive.
  • Obsessive Love
  • Outsider POV - Character Has Entirely the Wrong Idea About What They Witness: whether someone thinks they're lovers and has no idea they're brothers, or thinks they're brothers but really weird ones ... idk, outside POVs are always great.
  • Physical Fight Leading to Sex
  • roaring rampage of revenge: against the movies' protagonists or anyone else
  • Sex in the Blood of their Enemies
  • Undercover as a Couple: I love them both getting off on parading their relationship when nobody knows they're brothers. They'd probably both enjoy being obnoxious about it in different ways.
  • Voyeurism - watching loved one with someone else: related to the jeallousy/possessiveness part
  • Courtship - Violence as Courtship: whether it's killing the other's enemies or killing the other's previous lovers as a way of saying "you're mine"

Rivers of London
Thomas Nightingale/Peter Grant

I love them both so much, individually and together,, the different aspects of their relationship, how they both help each other in so many ways and rely on each other. I love that they both have their strengths and weaknesses and despiteone of them obviously being much more powerful and experienced than the other, they clearly need each other. And I'm always interested in anything from Nightingale's past - whether it's pre-war or more recent.

I have a soft spot for Dr Walid, Stephanopoulos and Seawoll, so if you want them to appear as well, that's cool. I firmly headcanon Nightingale as gay, so please nothing about Nightingale being attracted to women because that just wouldn't work for me (though I don't really ship Nightingale/Mellenby either, sorry, I know it's a popular background ship). I also don't ship Peter/Beverley and am generally not a huge fan of the Rivers, so I'd rather they didn't appear. I've read all the books, including The Furthest Station. I haven't read the comics and am not really interested in them, so I'd rather not receive fic that requires knowledge of the comics.

A lot of these tropes are just variations of "weird magic shit happens", so feel free to play around with that. :D

Requested tropes:
  • Accidental Demon Summoning
  • Artifacts - Haunted Artifacts
  • Blood Drinking - Turned On By: probably magic-related - maybe some spell or saving the other one requires it? And they're trying to be professional about it, but it's really hot?
  • Dimension Travel - Falling Into Alternate Universe where in an Established Relationship: especially if Peter was still in denial about having a giant crush on his boss
  • First Time - First Time with a Guy: I really like bicurious Peter who never really got around to actually having sex with a man.
  • Time Travel - Falling in love with someone in the past and reuniting in the present: I am desperate for any fic about Peter in the 20s/30s and this trope would work great for that. Peter meeting young Nightingale in the past and falling for him (whether he's already in love with present-day Nightingale or not quite yet) - whether they get together or not, Peter will have to deal with all those feelings when he's back in his own timeline.
  • Magic Rituals - Black Magic Rituals
  • Resurrection - By Travelling in the Land of the Dead to get someone back: I'd be good with either of them dying and then being brought back. I do have a special soft spot for Nightingale being utterly badass, but I'd have just as much fun with the Land of the Dead from Peter's POV.
  • Pre-Canon One Night Stand: pre-canon or "they hook up that first night when they meet at Covent Garden and only talk about ghosts afterwards". Either way, awkward.
  • Soulbonds - As A Result Of Magic + Soulbonds - Accidental: for both of these, I like soulbonds only happening super rarely so they're both kinda freaked out by the whole thing.
  • Violating Moral Principles For A Loved One: doing what's right is such a big theme in these books, which makes them the perfect setting for some proper moral dilemmas. I love characters with strong convictions breaking those convictions for the sake of the person they love.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Male Revan/Canderous Ordo, Male Revan/Canderous Ordo/Carth Onasi

I love this game so much! I strongly prefer Dark Side Revan, although I'm also fine with a more morally grey version of Revan if that's what you want to write, who's not really interested in this whole binary opposition of good and evil, but just does his own thing. Actually even with Dark Side Revan I prefer Pragmatic Evil and ruthless, power-hungry ambition to Ludicrous Evil and "bwahahaha I kick puppies in my free time for the Evulz". Mostly I'm just not interested in redeemed, saintly Light Side Revan.

Revan/Canderous is one of those villains-in-love ships I adore: that mix of being horrid to everyone else while loving each other madly. As for poor Carth, I don't know why I love torturing him so, but I mostly ship that threesome as noncon and Revan and Canderous keeping him around as a prisoner post-canon. Unrelated, but I adore HK-47 and he's always welcome to show up.

Requested tropes:
  • Battle Couple
  • Courtship - Violence as Courtship
  • Fallen Hero - Seduction to the Dark Side: I tend to imagine Carth as the victim in all this, if you write the threesome, but if you want to go this route, that could be interesting, too. :D
  • Fate Worse Than Death: for Carth - I'm super into Revan offering to let him have a painless death if he just submits, and if he doesn't, well, he'll keep getting tortured/raped/mindfucked.
  • Grand Romantic Gesture - Murder of a Third Party as Romantic Gesture: either Revan or Canderous doing it.
  • Hero Worship: Canderous canonically worships the ground Revan walks on, so I always want more of that.
  • Loyalty - King and Lionheart
  • Loyalty - Submission
  • Magic Powers - Sex Magic: inappropriate sex uses of the Force, like Force-choking, Force-bondage, rough pain play combined with Force-healing ... did I mention Force-choking? ;D
  • Mind Control - Consensual Mind Control: making Canderous hallucinate, making him feel Revan's presence in his mind, Revan controlling his body while letting Canderous be aware of what he's doing (I'm fine with dubcon, although I'd prefer if the relationship in itself was consensual/if Canderous basically considered it Revan's right to do whatever he likes with him)
  • Mind Games: like Revan mindfucking Carth for fun/punishment
  • Physical Fight Leading to Sex
  • Rape as bonding activity for the rapists: Revan and Canderous having their fun with Carth; Canderous letting Carth loose so they can spar and fight and then Canderous fucks him bloody "after giving him a fair fight", Revan watching their games through Canderous' eyes and joining them afterwards to mindfuck Carth a bit more or make Carth grovel at his feet ...
  • Sex in the Blood of their Enemies
  • Soulbonds - Telepathy: Revan staying in touch that way when they're apart, invading Canderous' dreams, commenting on Canderous' actions or thoughts, whispering into his brain when Canderous is jerking off or fucking someone else
  • Telepathy - Sharing Dreams
  • Telepathy - Telepathic Sex
  • villains in love
  • Villain Wins: I'm always here for Revan ruling the galaxy with Canderous as his general

And that's it! I hope you find something in this letter that works for you, dear writer, and I'm very much looking forward to what you come up with!

Thanks!
