Dear Smut Swap Writer,
Thank you for writing for me and for taking a look at this letter. My letters always get embarrassingly long, but I prefer listing a lot of things I like and giving you plenty of things to choose from rather than just listing two things I like and making you despair if you hate those two things. Obviously I don't expect you to include every single thing I've listed in this letter.
As a general rule, I'm more than okay with a longer build up to the porn or plot to go with my porn, if you want to write that sort of thing. Obviously I don't expect you to write plot or long build ups, considering the nature of this exchange. Just thought I'd mention it because I'm someone who often needs to write a bit of build up before I get around to the porn, and if that's the case for you, too, don't think I'll be disappointed. Obviously I won't be disappointed either if there's only porn. :D
I've listed some general likes and dislikes, and then some more specific stuff for the pairings/kinks I requested. Some of the kinks I requested have an additional little explanation/prompt if I thought it was necessary, but most of them are just listed alphabetically or sometimes grouped together if they're similar. That doesn't mean I like the kinks I expanded on better, just that I thought they might need clarification. I'd be happy to receive a fic about any of the pairings and kinks I've requested. Marquis Warren/Chris Mannix
This ship has just about eaten my brain since I first saw the movie. I love their initial antagonism, I love that they have every reason to hate and despise each other, and yet they still end up working together and trusting each other. I love that for all his hatred, Mannix almost seems to admire Warren from the start and is surprisingly respectful towards him at times ('please, Major, let me shoot that ugly bastard' comes to mind). There is so much potential for their relationship if they survive, so I'd love to read any fic in which they do survive (somehow, I don't care how medically implausible it is) and maybe partner up as bounty hunters or see each other every time Warren shows up with new bounties (if we assume that Mannix actually is the new sheriff of Red Rock). And they're the weirdest, most mismatched pair of sort-of-friends ever and constantly confuse people around them, and they grow closer without ever entirely getting over their antagonism and their disagreements, probably switching between 'aw, I'm starting to like him' and 'I'm going to murder him if he doesn't shut his goddamn mouth' twice per conversation. And eventually they end up sleeping with each other. Maybe because they share a bed/blankets in the next cold winter and that leads to more? Maybe because they're angry at each other and fighting about something and that leads to more? Maybe one of them gets injured again and the other takes care of him and there's some gentler affection going on? (Please let's pretend Warren only got shot in the upper thigh or, idk, got one ball shot off and the rest is still intact.)
There's so much you could do with their issues and antagonism, and their shared bond after what they went through, and the loyalty between them - especially if you have Mannix saving Warren's life again post-movie because he was somewhat less badly injured and patched Warren up, and Warren is grateful, but also hates owing Mannix. Oh, and of course there's probably a lot of guilt and shame going on on both sides (but especially for Mannix) because sleeping with a black man/a racist Confederate is probably not something either of them is particularly comfortable with. And I figure that any kind of sexual encounter between them would have Warren in charge, simply because there's no way Warren would ever let any man, let alone a white man, top him in any way. Plus, Mannix clearly has a bit of a submissive streak and is so very eager to please. I'm okay if this turns out a bit dub-con-y, with Warren somehow getting Mannix to do things he's reluctant to do (as long as he ends up enjoying himself, he might just feel terrible about it). I'm okay with both rougher, more antagonistic interpretations of their relationship and with gentler stuff that focuses more on their shared experiences and how much they owe each other. Or ideally a combination of both. :D
Fast & Furious Series
Deckard Shaw/Owen Shaw
I have so much love for these obsessive, evil, ruthless bastards who don't give a damn about anyone except each other and who'd burn down the whole world for each other. This ship is just made for loyalty kink, codependency, aggressive possessiveness and protectiveness, vengeful fury, and us-against-the-world. I'm cool with many different interpretations of their relationship, just as long as they do both love each other: complete obsessive incestuousness since they were teenagers (I'm perfectly fine with underage), some kind of estrangement somewhere along the way and then a later reconciliation, years of obsessing over each other before they finally man up and fuck … Pre-canon and post-canon are both great. I also love Owen being a manipulative shit and Deckard knowing it, but not really minding at all.
I didn't request any crossover ships, but if you feel like including some kind of Expendables crossover and Deckard/Lee, Owen/Lee, Barney/Deckard or anything of the sort, I would absolutely not say no to that, as long as the focus of the fic is still on Deckard/Owen. I'm not super into the idea of Lee and the Shaws being related, but I like them knowing each other from their SAS times.
The Expendables
Barney Ross/Lee Christmas
Their old married couple behaviour makes me so very happy, they clearly adore each other, but that doesn't stop them from being assholes to each other half the time. I also really enjoy how incredibly jealous and possessive they both are of each other (Barney disapproves of Lee's girlfriend, Lee constantly insists that he's Barney only real friend anyway).
I'm always interested in any kind of pre-canon fic or flashbacks or anything else that tells me more about how they met and started working together and grew so close. But fic set during or after canon is very welcome, too. I'm fine with them starting to fuck when they still barely know each other or only years later when they're already still-platonic lifepartners. First time fic is always great. I also ship Barney/Stonebanks as a past thing, so if you want to include that ship with any of the kinks I've requested here, that'd be more than welcome.
The Raven Cycle
Richard Gansey III/Ronan Lynch
I adore the loyalty and devotion between these two in canon, how obsessed Ronan is with Gansey, how much Gansey wants to take care of Ronan. I also love the canonical D/s vibes they have - Gansey ordering Ronan around, Ronan being happy to be thought of as Gansey's dog, Gansey casually talking about collaring and leashing Ronan … That's something I'd love to see expanded on. I also love how much Ronan relies on Gansey emotionally, and at the same time how much Ronan is the only person who really completely belongs to Gansey and is most likely to stay with him forever. That kind of codependency works so well for me. Generally their natural familiarity with each other and their quiet intimacy and just how well they know each other, how much they share with each other, it's all great.
Feel free to set this fic whenever you like, pre-canon/before Niall's death, anywhere during canon, post-canon (maybe after Gansey died and somehow came back to life/was dreamt back to life?). Underage is of course fine for this ship, considering their age in canon. I'm very OTP-ish about Ronan/Gansey, so please don't include any other ships between one of them and someone else (the only exception are the Lynchcest(+Gansey) ships listed below, I obviously wouldn't mind those being included/mentioned).
Raven Cycle
Declan Lynch/Adam Parrish
This ship is my ideal post-canon endgame for both of them. I think they have quite a few things in common and they want similar things from life, and I can definitely see them growing closer if they meet again post-canon, if they go to the same university or end up working together somewhere as lawyers or the like. I could see them hooking up casually, then hooking up more and more often and eventually really falling for each other, but other ways of making their relationship work are great, too. I'm also not opposed to fic set during canon, but more as a one (or several) night stand than a serious relationship because I think that Adam needs to become a lot more comfortable with himself and his life before he can really have a happy relationship with someone else. Of course you could also combine the two - have them hook up at Aglionby and meet again years later. Underage is fine if you write something set during canon.
I think it helps that they both know things about the other that neither would be willing to disclose to a new partner, that they're both somewhat emotionally stunted and (feel) unloved. Then there's the fact that Adam would just get the ultimate power thrill from Declan Lynch being into him, and Declan could probably do with a partner who doesn't take his bullshit, but who also understands what he's been through in his life (losing his parents, being responsible for his brothers when he was still a grieving teenager etc.). And, well, they'd be such a beautifully ambitious power couple on top of being incredibly good for each other. I don't ship Ronan/Adam, so I'd really rather not see Adam being interested in Declan because he reminds him of Ronan or anything like that.

Obligatory Lynchcest requests, yay! :D I'm perfectly happy with underage for any of these ships, as long as the youngest character is at least 15ish by the time anything sexual happens (fantasising or dream sex or the like before they're 15 is fine). I don't like interpretations of Niall as an abusive father - I think he was an incredibly weird person with lots of bizarre ideas about how to raise his kids, but still, if you write Niall/Ronan(/Gansey), I'd ask that it's all consensual. Same goes for Declan/Ronan.
These are the kinks I've actually requested, which I think should work for all three ships. Below I've listed a few more kinks from the tag set that I think would only work for one of the ships - obviously you shouldn't feel like you have to include any of them, but if you want to add them, I'd love to see that.

I'd generally prefer something that focuses on when Niall was still alive, but if you have an idea for ghost sex or Niall appearing in Ronan's dreams after his death, I'd be super excited to read that, too. I just don't want pure, relentless angst about Niall's death.

Niall/Ronan/Gansey: I'd mostly love to see Niall seducing Gansey into a threesome because he can see that Ronan loves and wants Gansey (and if Niall wants Gansey, too, well, all the better, he doesn't have to be entirely unselfish about this). This could work both with established Niall/Ronan or without it, whatever you prefer. Again, I prefer Niall as the seducing enabler who wants his beloved son to have everything he wants rather than as a creepy abuser.

Raylan Givens/Tim Gutterson
I've been in love with this ship for years because they work so well on so many levels. I love them as casual hook-ups during the show, sometimes lazy and friendly and sometimes a bit rougher when they've been annoyed with each other, but I also love those hook-ups turning into something a lot more serious over the years, with Raylan spending more and more time at Tim's place and increasing domesiticity and them slowly falling for each other in the least cheesy possible way because they're both emotionally fucked up. So, both canon setting and post-canon are great, feel free to handwave the ending and either leave Raylan in Kentucky or have Tim transfer to Miami for whatever reason. Give me drunk hook-ups after a shitty case or hasty locker room make-outs or fucking in Tim's car or lazy, surprisingly gentle morning sex or sudden realisations that they actually really like each other, a lot. Or domesticity during which they still banter and snark at each other half the time.
I firmly headcanon Tim as gay, so please no mentions of Tim sleeping with women. I also don't really ship Raylan/Boyd, and since I don't like Winona, I'd prefer if the fic wasn't full of Raylan thinking about her.
The Silmarillion
Feanor/Fingolfin
Can't expect me to resist fucked up, complicated brother ships with tons of loyalty issues. :D I'm mostly into fics in which Feanor survives and they meet again in Middle-earth and somehow have to learn to work together. But if you'd rather write something set in Valinor, that's cool, too (underage, like Feanor seducing adolescent Fingolfin, is fine). I love both of them and I think they can both be proud and arrogant and stubborn, so please no fic that bashes either of them or insists that one of them was completely wrong and the other was completely right.
I'm really into all kinds of complicated power dynamics between them where neither one is completely in charge at all times, oaths of fealty, loyalty kink, kneeling, Feanor having to earn Fingolfin's trust again, working together to defeat Morgoth, post-battle sex ... I also have a huge soft spot for steampunky Noldor, so if you want to give me Fingolfin liking to watch Feanor invent all kinds of amazing new things before they fuck in the smithy/on Feanor's desk, I'll be very happy. Or Feanor forging new weapons/armour for Fingolfin. :D

Edward Teach/Charles Vane
Mentor/mentee, size kink, loyalty, gorgeous beards - no way I wasn't going to be into this. I love how much Teach obviously loves Vane, the things he's willing to do to get him back; I love the whole father/son and mentor/mentee dynamics they have, and on a purely aesthetic level I am so into how much Teach towers over Vane. Would love to see any pre-canon fic about how Teach found Vane and took him in (underage is fine, a bit of dub-con and skeeviness is fine, too, if everyone ends up happy with it), but also post-canon fic in which Vane does indeed sail off into the sunset with Teach (I doubt that's what'll happen on the show, but indulge me). I'd prefer something that doesn't focus mostly on Vane's betrayal of Teach; I'm fine with it getting mentioned, of course, but I'm really more into mutual loyalty than betrayal and one-sided feelings.
I am not very happy about spoilery things that happened in 3x06, so maybe we could either ignore that or fix it somehow?

Declan Lynch/Adam Parrish
This ship is my ideal post-canon endgame for both of them. I think they have quite a few things in common and they want similar things from life, and I can definitely see them growing closer if they meet again post-canon, if they go to the same university or end up working together somewhere as lawyers or the like. I could see them hooking up casually, then hooking up more and more often and eventually really falling for each other, but other ways of making their relationship work are great, too. I'm also not opposed to fic set during canon, but more as a one (or several) night stand than a serious relationship because I think that Adam needs to become a lot more comfortable with himself and his life before he can really have a happy relationship with someone else. Of course you could also combine the two - have them hook up at Aglionby and meet again years later. Underage is fine if you write something set during canon.
I think it helps that they both know things about the other that neither would be willing to disclose to a new partner, that they're both somewhat emotionally stunted and (feel) unloved. Then there's the fact that Adam would just get the ultimate power thrill from Declan Lynch being into him, and Declan could probably do with a partner who doesn't take his bullshit, but who also understands what he's been through in his life (losing his parents, being responsible for his brothers when he was still a grieving teenager etc.). And, well, they'd be such a beautifully ambitious power couple on top of being incredibly good for each other. I don't ship Ronan/Adam, so I'd really rather not see Adam being interested in Declan because he reminds him of Ronan or anything like that.
- Clothed/Naked: Adam has such a thing for expensive suits - whether he's the one wearing them or Declan.
- Dirty Talk: more of the gentle/seductive kind than the humiliating one.
- Jealousy: Especially if you go with the friends-with-benefits to lovers route, I'd love to see them growing increasingly jealous when the other one sleeps around.

Obligatory Lynchcest requests, yay! :D I'm perfectly happy with underage for any of these ships, as long as the youngest character is at least 15ish by the time anything sexual happens (fantasising or dream sex or the like before they're 15 is fine). I don't like interpretations of Niall as an abusive father - I think he was an incredibly weird person with lots of bizarre ideas about how to raise his kids, but still, if you write Niall/Ronan(/Gansey), I'd ask that it's all consensual. Same goes for Declan/Ronan.
These are the kinks I've actually requested, which I think should work for all three ships. Below I've listed a few more kinks from the tag set that I think would only work for one of the ships - obviously you shouldn't feel like you have to include any of them, but if you want to add them, I'd love to see that.

Niall/Ronan is one of those obsessive father/son ships that I just can't resist. Niall adoring Ronan so much, Ronan worshipping the ground Niall walks on, the secret dream magic they share, the possibility of weird dream sex ... I'd generally prefer something that focuses on when Niall was still alive, but if you have an idea for ghost sex or Niall appearing in Ronan's dreams after his death, I'd be super excited to read that, too. I just don't want pure, relentless angst about Niall's death.

Niall/Ronan/Gansey: I'd mostly love to see Niall seducing Gansey into a threesome because he can see that Ronan loves and wants Gansey (and if Niall wants Gansey, too, well, all the better, he doesn't have to be entirely unselfish about this). This could work both with established Niall/Ronan or without it, whatever you prefer. Again, I prefer Niall as the seducing enabler who wants his beloved son to have everything he wants rather than as a creepy abuser.

Raylan Givens/Tim Gutterson
I've been in love with this ship for years because they work so well on so many levels. I love them as casual hook-ups during the show, sometimes lazy and friendly and sometimes a bit rougher when they've been annoyed with each other, but I also love those hook-ups turning into something a lot more serious over the years, with Raylan spending more and more time at Tim's place and increasing domesiticity and them slowly falling for each other in the least cheesy possible way because they're both emotionally fucked up. So, both canon setting and post-canon are great, feel free to handwave the ending and either leave Raylan in Kentucky or have Tim transfer to Miami for whatever reason. Give me drunk hook-ups after a shitty case or hasty locker room make-outs or fucking in Tim's car or lazy, surprisingly gentle morning sex or sudden realisations that they actually really like each other, a lot. Or domesticity during which they still banter and snark at each other half the time.
I firmly headcanon Tim as gay, so please no mentions of Tim sleeping with women. I also don't really ship Raylan/Boyd, and since I don't like Winona, I'd prefer if the fic wasn't full of Raylan thinking about her.

Can't expect me to resist fucked up, complicated brother ships with tons of loyalty issues. :D I'm mostly into fics in which Feanor survives and they meet again in Middle-earth and somehow have to learn to work together. But if you'd rather write something set in Valinor, that's cool, too (underage, like Feanor seducing adolescent Fingolfin, is fine). I love both of them and I think they can both be proud and arrogant and stubborn, so please no fic that bashes either of them or insists that one of them was completely wrong and the other was completely right.
I'm really into all kinds of complicated power dynamics between them where neither one is completely in charge at all times, oaths of fealty, loyalty kink, kneeling, Feanor having to earn Fingolfin's trust again, working together to defeat Morgoth, post-battle sex ... I also have a huge soft spot for steampunky Noldor, so if you want to give me Fingolfin liking to watch Feanor invent all kinds of amazing new things before they fuck in the smithy/on Feanor's desk, I'll be very happy. Or Feanor forging new weapons/armour for Fingolfin. :D

Mentor/mentee, size kink, loyalty, gorgeous beards - no way I wasn't going to be into this. I love how much Teach obviously loves Vane, the things he's willing to do to get him back; I love the whole father/son and mentor/mentee dynamics they have, and on a purely aesthetic level I am so into how much Teach towers over Vane. Would love to see any pre-canon fic about how Teach found Vane and took him in (underage is fine, a bit of dub-con and skeeviness is fine, too, if everyone ends up happy with it), but also post-canon fic in which Vane does indeed sail off into the sunset with Teach (I doubt that's what'll happen on the show, but indulge me). I'd prefer something that doesn't focus mostly on Vane's betrayal of Teach; I'm fine with it getting mentioned, of course, but I'm really more into mutual loyalty than betrayal and one-sided feelings.
I am not very happy about spoilery things that happened in 3x06, so maybe we could either ignore that or fix it somehow?
