First of all, wow, this is epic, and it's beautifully done. There is so much that I liked about this fic, and so much that fascinates me about this particular pairing - the idea that they are both so damaged that neither of them at first is able to realize that the other finds them pleasing (does this make sense? it's late and I just cleaned my whole apt. so I'm delirious) and the general dynamic that would exist between them ( ... )

I am so proud of myself every time I make someone ship Stannis/Sansa (and same with Stannis/Jon). SanStan just sounds horrifying. Stannis would indeed disapprove ( ... )

You're welcome. I'm glad that I could make someone smile with my fangirling. Seriously, I can't imagine writing a fic that long, ever. And it works. There's no dragginess like I've seen with some longfics, and everything that's there is important.

Now I have all of these sugar-coated visions of Stannis and Sansa healing each other after all of the horrible things that happen in the books and being all angsty and having Jon along for more angst. :) I love ships where each character is what the other needs for some reason. They're very sweet in this fic.

I usually hate reading long fics because, as you said, very often they're -too- long for no reason at all. I have no idea how this happened, tbh. I just kept writing and writing and suddenly I was at 4000 words and they had barely kissed. But I feel completely worn out after this. oO

Oh God, now I'm just imagining tons of horrible purple prose. ;) I think Stannis and Sansa will actually be fairly non-angsty in the near future (since it's Stannis with his hang-ups, probably by the time they have a son). So Sansa will be happy while Stannis and Jon can angst about their wuv and UST which they feel very guilty about. ;)
I have such a thing for codependency and characters completing each other in a way, so these two push too many of my buttons. Not to mention that I'm shallow and have a huge thing for that kind of age difference.

That's a relief. I usually write only slash, I think I can count my het ships on one hand and I've never actually written any of them. It's good to know that this wasn't a giant, faily mess.

Writing Stannis comes fairly easy to me, it was Sansa I was more worried about because I've never really written her before. But I'm definitely planning to write more in this verse, whether it's Stannis/Sansa or Stannis/Jon or Stannis-being-kinda-in-love-with-both-his-Starks. ;)

There's one on fanfiction.net and AO3 where he gives her a direwolf as a present. He tells her he thinks Robert's decision to execute Lady was unfair, and he wants to give her something she will love. She is so moved by this--of course she names the direwolf Jonquil!

OMG this was epic. Everything about it. The characterisation was so good, there were some lines that made me smile, some that almost brought a tear to my eyes, and everything just felt TRUE for both of them, for Stannis and Sansa. As expected, the porn was incredibly hot as well (and I rarely find myself enjoying het at all) and above all it FELT EXTREMELY realistic.

My favorite lines were: She used to dream of a prince, not of a warrior king. and of course, Jon's comment about wanting to trade places. I must confess I giggled. A lot.

You made me fall in love with Stannis even more than I already was, you evil woman. Everything you write makes me want to read more about that particular pairing. I can't think of anything else to say. :)

I think with a pairing like this realism is the most important thing. I mean, I ship them so hard it hurts and I think they'll be happy at some point, but that doesn't mean the beginning of their relationship wasn't complicated and awkward. So glad the porn was hot because I wrote this while thinking, "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DESCRIBE WHAT'S GOING ON?"

I can never resist the urge to put some Stannis/Jon in a fic. ;) His crush on Stannis is hilarious.

I'm proud of myself - Stannis needs more love. ^^ Thank you. :)
