Justice for the Rich and Beautiful?

Is it sad that I'm almost a month into school and I'm already tired of it?

I mean, this semester isn't going too terribly right now. My photo series is two steps forward, one step back. Things with Caleb's sculpture piece and the dress I'm making for Alex are going swimmingly. The back piece for Ben...not so great. I need a studio space and tools for Eliza to use. Maybe Chris can sneak her in there.

My journal's been pretty free of rants, but I'm going to rant for a bit. You can skip over this if you like.
I saw an interview with Matt Lauer and the 22-year-old school teacher who had sex with a 14-year-old boy. She is now under house-arrest, registered as a sex-offender, and will go through many years of therapy for her so-called bi-polar. I'm disgusted that the justice system is unjust. If this young, attractive, blonde, and white female teacher was a 30 or 40-some man and the victim was a girl, he would get 30 years immediately. Is it that society feels like men initate sex and therefore will get the consequences? If this woman was ugly, older, and possibly a minority, she would have been thrown into jail immediately. Justice for all, especially if you have the looks and/or the money.

I think this woman should go to jail. Even though I took a Women in Lit course, I don't consider myself a feminist. I consider myself an equalitist. If a man does the time for a crime that he commits, why can't a woman? It just doesn't seem fair. It's slanted as if women shouldn't be sent to jail, which can do one of two things: mark their tombstone for an early grave, or make them a better person for society. The later can be done for both sexes.
I've got some new yarn recently. My mom sent me some funky yarn and I bought some wool yarn that I'm planning to felt into a bag. It's so tempting to start on these new projects, but I would really like to finish my sweater-shirt first.
